Has GNR finally met together in the studio?

Bumblefoot said yesterday that he was travelling to LA to 'do something he needed to do for a while'. Straight away I thought maybe he was referring to the frustrating inability to finish a GNR record but then he jokingly finished the sentence by saying it was actually for a haircut.

But then today he tweeted that he was having dinner with Chris Pitman. Did they finally do what needed to be done and get together to organize the next GNR record?

Wat would b the incentive? They get paid to punch a clock, show to the gig, play and leave. You really think they would waste their free time, and giving away good ideas for a gnr record that won't see the light of day, and won't b paid to do so in the first place?

This is axls touring band. They get a salary. Not a percentage. So where's the motivation to record? They kno axl isn't confident enough to release new material.

Beta won't let them anyways.

God damn, it's good to see at least SOME people get it.

These aren't "hungry kids from the street" who are jamming together and writing music like it's 1987. These are hired professionals who are paid to play old material note for note.

I don't think it's about Axl's confidence as far as new music goes, it's his lack of interest in going back to the studio and trying to create something new for an uninterested audience there for the hits, with a handful of fanatics.

It's also hard when they're under contract with a record company they've gone to court against to work with each other again. I think the 3D movie is the first time since ChiDem came out where there was any interaction between the label & band, and we haven't had new updates on that in a while.

The "something he needed to do for a while" was cut his hair which was what his next tweet was about. Maybe we'll see an article about the new hairstyle soon. I've long thought his haircut was holding GNR back. I think this could help spark the release of a new record soon.

That coupled with maybe another of his trademark "we have yet to get in a room together to jam" comments, which by now only accomplishes making Axl look like the bad guy of the story and the cashgrabby henchmen the good guys. Quite the move from the "FUCK GNR" guitarist.
