Guest Len B'stard
I absolutely adore Eminem, i think he's one of the best to ever do it and he has constantly and consistently improved as an MC and gotten better and better to the point where what he did on his last couple of releases is just out of this fuckin' world, like in a category above everyone else, purely lyrically speaking here.He has an ability to adopt any kind of style like, he can rap in that Bone Thugs Twista type style, the boom bap style, the rapid flowing Big Daddy Kane style, just all of it, the guys is so phenomenal.Eminem is one of those people that when he's not around anymore people are gonna sit in the sun dreaming that an artist of such unassailable calibre was around, he really is the absolutely peak of the fuckin' game as it stands and NOBODY can fuck with him, thats no one. And all debates were settled
izzygirl
Brilliant. Hip hop was never my favourite music style but I love the guy. The Marshall Matters LP is the soundtrack of an important part of my teen years. I think he is a genius.
CheapJon
Marshall Matters LP was probably my first CD. Still fucking great. Dont listen to his new stuff though,.
Gordon Comstock
I like a few songs off the Slim Shady LP and the Eminem Show, never really got the love for the Marshall Mathers LP though....Rabbit Run is by far my favorite song of his.He went to shit after the Eminem Show. Encore was fucking terrible, then he put out a compilation and I stopped paying attention. Heard a couple of his newer songs and don't like his new style. He tries to sound more aggressive (almost yelling, sometimes) and it doesn't work the way it used to.

Estranged Reality
And all debates were settled I don't think he's such a clear victor, man. I love old Em and I admire him for cleaning up and all that, it's a good comeback story, and I liked the angry sober Eminem on tracks like "Forever" before it got played out, but he's extremely capable of horrible lyrics. That Westwood freestyle is pretty sick overall, but there are some embarrassing, cringe-worthy moments if it's the one I'm thinking of -- something about squeezing butt cheeks and pissing, Westwood's reaction is priceless, he gives a quizzical expression. He's been justly called out for lazy lyrics like those, they pretty much made up Relapse (not a great record by any stretch of imagination) and he still has a tendency to devolve into them on tracks like "Won't Back Down." He's really dragged out the food puns, tooWhile you were sipping your own Kool-Aid, getting your buzz heavyI was in the fucking shed sharpening my macheteSipping on some of that revenge juice, getting my taste buds readyTo wolf down this spaghetti or should I say this spa-get-evenI think you fucking meatballs keep on just forgettingorI’m the real macaroni you cheesy bitch, I’m demonic with the Kraft! There’s a devil in my noodle, you: angel hair pastaLots of moments of sheer genius surrounded by moments of some of the worst lyrics ever, quite honestly. And the beats on Recovery were mixed. But the old horrorcore stuff was fun.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rk2YNFC9sAAStill his best track imo.I really liked a couple of his ballads off the last albums. "Going Through Changes" got shit from critics for being cheesy and heavy-handed, but I liked it. "Beautiful," ditto. This leaked a while back and I like how fragile and exposed it is. Sounds like he's literally choking up at one point. Recorded while he was on drugs.

chevelle
Em is the very first rapper I ever took notice of, one of the first musicians I ever truly got into, and is responsible for opening me up to the genre in general. SSLP, MMLP, and The Eminem Show are all classics in my mind (and Relapse/Recovery could've been one too if he took the best tracks from each and made it a single album). Snake-Pit
He got white boys into rap.Well, he became the one rapper white guys (and indeed black guys too) can relate to, with his lyrics in his songs. Royce da 5'9 actually does a good job of hanging with Em.
Guest Len B'stard
Royce really upped Em's game, listen to Fastlane, it's like they spur each other on. And as big an Em' fan as I am Royce has him on that.@ER: Yeah but everyone falters some. I weren't so in love with the albums cuz i don't like rappers going on about their feelings too much, in a whiney fuckin' 12 step crackhead kinda way, my perfect Eminem would be like if he had just been about Redman and left all that emotional shit to the side and just fuckin' made sick self aggrandising lyrically sick albums and left out all that fuckin' heartstring plucking but that is what it is, thats an artists perogative and i appreciate what he does lyrically to not really care that those albums sound like a fuckin' some kind of on wax version of Miser
