This might be the check out point for me for a while. Not saying anything dramatic like I don't like Guns N' Roses anymore, just that it's time to set the GN'R community aside for a few years. I did it from 2005-2007, and made it that much more satisfying when Chinese Democracy came out.

What a shitty statement. Of course the do know if they intend to tour, intentend to put out new music or intentend to release a Dvd. It's not like some promotors are calling them at some point and tell them 'Axl, pack your bags, tour starts tomorrow.'

This shit is getting beyond ridicoulus because by putting out a statement like this, it's always going to look like someone else is to blame. In that case the people who have not yet made any confirmations to any plans the band obviously has (but is not going to tell the fans about it - so they basically have information but don't share it).

Myve the should get someone who's able to really handle their PR so it's not that obvious how they fool their fans.

Read it again. All they are saying is that they'r not going to tell us anything until it is 100% ready to go. Otherwise, they will build up false promises and likely disappoint...

What a joke.

So now Axl Rose or his management team can't give his MILLIONS of fans a simple update on what is going on with the band that some of us have loved, followed and supported for 25 years.

So what happened to the old CD song leftovers?
What happened to all the songs that the current band members have worked on and submitted to Axl for his approval?

Is the current band writing or recording together?

Beta and her children might be nice people, but they are an absolute JOKE of a management team. An absolute JOKE.

I agree with your interpretation 110%. Well said.

At this point in time Id almost prefer a statement that said : The musics over turn out the lights.

At this point in time we are so far away from what GNR represented to the world that it seems sad looking back on years of waste. If all we have to look forward to is the same show(greatest Hits) for the remainder of GNR in existance then I vote astraight forward no holds barred declaration of intent from Axl and company that says so.

All the charisma, thrill and possibility was there for the taking...but to fall back into this nonchalant kinda maybe sorta stance that GNR has become is not only Sad its mental.
