Remember how long it took Chinese Democracy to be released?

Do you really think new music is on the way?

How do you follow up the release of the most anticipated/expensive album in rock and roll history?

Record new music soon after it's release? Is that what people are looking for? New recordings?

That seems to me, judging from the release of the previous album, like that is no where near being done, if ever.

Maybe, if anything, release the songs that were supposedly recorded when Chinese Democracy was recorded. 3 albums worth of material or whatever it is, which if it exists, I would think would see the light of day sometime. But all new recordings with an all new band? Like really happening sometime soon?

Id settle for a Deluxe edition of CD with 12 unreleased songs from that era. If the threw on Ballad of Death and a few studio versions of songs like The Seeker and Whole Lotta Rosie that would be cool.

As long as 3 of the 12 were OMG, Silkworms and Checkmate

Tommy, DJ and Bumblefoot are skilled producers, and DJ and Ron both have studios in their homes, so there's no need to even book time. DJ wrote and recorded a full album of background music for Eli Roth's haunted house thing in a week. Plus, everyone in the band has said that recording is the main thing they want to do. And issues with the label would stop them from releasing music, not writing and recording it.

There is NO excuse, other than Axl. Either he doesn't want to, or his voice isn't strong enough.

Checkmate is a fake title i think, it be called Jackie chan.

But deluxe seems like a way to dodge the new album pressure. They can just gwt it out with some ld legends like Atlas or The general and some stuff they play live, oh my god, silk and a couple new ones like the Dj n Axl song.

If the Ashba/Rose song you're talking about is Monstrosity, I thought that was a fake

No the one baz said he heard, im not sure if tgat was a fake rumor. Any dj has 12 songs ready to go that could come after CD Deluxes.

How many people in the band have recording studios and produce music? How long have they been together as this unit? Spring 2009?

So four fucking years isn't enough time to write an original album with a solid line up? Really... Unlike the rotating line up which contributed to CD. RIGHT.

Not that I do think or was thinking new music was on the way, but the torture it took for Chinese Democracy to come out seemed like an anomaly. There's no justifying it, but he had to build the band backup, stop going through constant lineup changes, look favorable again in the public eye. He had work to do and Chinese had been going on so long that it seemed like that masterpiece or hump he had to get over which was gonna take time. After it happened, you would think "well he got that whole 14 year saga out of the way, you want to go back to making music the way you used to?" Again, I didn't think we'd have a new album 2 years later or anything, but I did think "its not gonna and it shouldn't take another 14 years to release another album, right?" He's over the hump, its now just about whenever he feels like releasing something.

Give me the Bucket/Finck/Brain material and I would be happy to never hear a note from the current line up. Frank is an average rock drummer and Ashba's leads are boring. Ron has amazing talent but lacks memorable and catching solos.

Lots of bands put out records every couple of years.

There is absolutely NO reason that Axl and company can't do the same.

Why Axl, Beta and her children refuse to do this is beyond me.

Too bad they don't care about the millions of fans who helped Axl become rich.

Pretty much exactly how I feel
