Kapitch_77
In his letter to the Hall of fame, Axl writes:" for anyone to continue to ask, suggest or demand a reunion are misguided attempts to distract from our efforts with our current lineup of myself, Dizzy Reed, Tommy Stinson, Frank Ferrer, Richard Fortus, Chris Pitman, Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal and DJ Ashba. I was just wondering what does he mean by that? Of what efforts is he speaking of?

WhazUp
Maybe he meant "we are doing such a good job of distracting ourselves from our efforts that we don't need any more help"

Gordon Comstock
Pretty obvious that he means [or meant at the time] that the current line-up does eventually plan to release their own music, but things appear to have changed since that letter... Axl's always been unpredictable, and it would appear his drive and muse are equally as unpredictable as his antics.
Jakey Styley
I wonder if Axl ever stumbles and thinks "uhhh" when he's listing all of the members of GNR.
axlsalinger
He was pissed that so many fans, media members, record label execs and former band managers keep suggesting or hoping for a reunion of the original guys.As we can plainly see, all his efforts are focused with laser-like intensity on moving the new band forward ...

I was just wondering what does he mean by that? Of what efforts is he speaking of?Touring? I mean, why reunite with former band members if the outcome would most likely be less money and potential drama / less power to Axl, e.g: "I want us to play song X. I will only reunite if we release a new album" from Slash, Duff and others. I am sure the current band members are heard on these matters but their input is a recommendation not a "reunion requirement" term.Axl is no better than the rest of us. I am a fan of his music, but you might understand that on his position the vast majority of us would act in a very similar way at this point reunion wise.I believe a reunion would've happened if Axl didn't have so much control over the band's name and existing revenue streams. Don't get me wrong here. I don't think he would be solely motivated by money. He would possibly give people a reunion in order to get full control over the band existing name and revenue streams. He's took over control once, if he didn't have it now. I bet he would try it in a reunion negotiation. Right now, there's nothing he cares about that playing with all the former band members would get him.

wasted
Touring is the effort. Everything they do on tour every day is for thevshow, they put on great shows. Then people pop up with reunion questions. They wouldnt be human if that didnt bother them.
