Why don't we interview Bumblefoot?

In all honesty, what's he gonna say that we haven't heard a hundred times already?

Axls not worried about a new album being released, and I doubt he'll ever get the ball rolling.

I can think in some interesting questions like:

1-Ron, recently you mentioned a song that would had been on CD and that would be in "ChinDem2", do you know if ill ever been published the songs from the Chinese era? (He just have told us about NEW music, no old unknown music)

2- Are you interested on GN'R music videos? There is any unreleased video from CD that is not a mix of concerts and documentary? Do you think we'll see someday any new music video from Gn'R?

3-About the leftover songs from CD that we know, like "The General", or "Atlas Shrugged" Which do you think is better?, which do you like it most?

Well, my idea is just contact with him with facebook, and ask him if he would like to do an interview with some POLITE questions from the forum. Is not like "hey bumble come to the forum". Is just asking, he did an interview with a Brazillian fanclub, I'm pretty sure he would like to do something like that.

The idea is something like the "5 questions for Axl", but the difference is that, this would be read by him, and there is not the same problems that we have to contact Axl.

Bumblefoot is easily the stand out member of GNR as far as attitudes towards the fans. I have no doubt that if you formally approached him with such an offer he would oblige. What you have to respect however is that he cannot divulge any tentative plans. If you go into this process of interviewing without accepting that, you're going to be frustrated and have what you had here a year or so ago, bickering.

What's the point though? Frankly (and with all due respect to Bumblefoot) GNR fans do not care about KISS tribute bands etc. They want one simple answer which pertains exclusively to new music.

Bumblefoot does interviews all the time, I can't imagine there is much left to ask that he hasn't spoken about barring the things he cannot speak about.

I think a Tommy interview at this point would be cool. Ask him some stuff about the upcoming Mats tour and gauge his opinion on Going Down. Getting him to do this might be trickier than BBF but he is on twitter so you never know.

We can ask him about GN'R. He talked about CD leftovers before, he can do it again if we do a good question. We can ask how would he like to be the Gn'R's 2014. We can ask him about the leaks, when was the lattest time GN'R was in studio (If there's a DJ version of Better, maybe they made some nu songs in 2009). There's a lot of GN'R questions that can be answered without divulging any tentative plans.

We can ask him why every single member of the band says something different like what Pitman said the other day.

A Tommy interview would be cool, and I would support it, but the thing is, Bumble is the member who pays more attention to the fans, he even follows me on Twitter.

I totally advocate the Tommy suggestion but alas I will not be leading any cutting-edge campaign to make it happen.

Tommy's 'fuck it' attitude to what GNR management thinks is precisely what we need in terms of getting a good interview.

A Ron interview can be totally possible, we can make it if we want. What is that "fuck it" attitude from Tommy? Didn't know anything about that.

What kind of interview would you want? He was pissed off the last time he was on here and said he was done with mygnr.

When GNR comes up he gets frustrated when people want to know more. He's happy to talk about what he's working on outside of GNR, he'll give all sorts of advice, but just don't nag him about unreleased stuff. He'd prob. talk about who snores and farts in their sleep, but Planet Axl's off limits.

I'm not sure there's any point. If it's interviewing Ron about Bumblefoot music yeah that's worthwhile... if it's about new GnR music, we know where he stands we also know that he recently said that "the band seems to be on a break but that could all change with a moments notice" and they are not in the studio or even planning on going into the studio. Bumble will give straight honest answers but I think we're all going to be just as frustrated after it's over.

Maybe we can petition for guns to get in the studio *joke* while we're at it, lets petition for Axl to get his vocal coach back and get him to sound at least as good as he did in 2006/07. I'm not sure I want a new Guns record with Axls current voice *not joking*.

I have interviewed him a couple of times. But I can tell you right now, those questions you suggested would not do.

Bumblefoot has repeatedly made his position very clear to us. He isn't like Chris Pitman who is really indifferent to making new music and would rather exploit the old catalogue. Bumblefoot has explicitly said he wants to get in the studio and give the GNR fanbase what it wants. Why get him to reiterate that yet again?
