The song is called "I Love U But I Don't Trust U Anymore"

Like "This I Love" it is a haunting piano ballad.

Like "This I Love" it is written about the betrayal of his ex-wife.

Probably my favorite Prince ballad. I can see it being compared to TIL.

I dislike Prince. Have never been able to get into any song of his I've heard. Oh, well. I'm listening to this now. I don't like it.

There's no hope for you!

I'd listen to Purple Rain. If you genuinely like nothing on that record then you should definitely give up ever trying to get into Prince.

Yeah, the thing is, I understand the praise he gets and I get why people say they love him. I believe Duff is a huge Prince fan. But I just have never been into it, like I said.

I did used to like Prince, at least his older material, and own about 4 albums including a best of *Dirty Mind* *Purple Rain* *Sign 'O' The Times* *The Very Best of Prince*. I tried playing one of those albums some months ago, and the whole sound seems weak.

the albums need REMASTERING.

the sound is horrid on the CDs.

vinyl sounds great.

nothing wrong with the music itself.

They were remastered, he hasn't found a proper way to put it out there yet, and he doesn't want to deal with Warners.

Supposedly Sign O' The Times is going to be the one he wanted to get out on DVD and Blu Ray, but it might have been put on the backburner.

I'd like to see him try to get the entire back catalog out there and do a companion compilation to "Hits/B-Sides".

anyone who wants a great-sounding fan remaster of purple rain, check out the foefur (i think i spelled that right) remaster.

it's amazing. he also threw in a couple tracks that were left off the record plus the extended version of 'beautiful ones' which is probably my top prince song ever.

Out of all this stalling on new music it seems to have had an odd effect. It seems prince has gained a number of new fans.

New fan? I've been listening to the purple one since I was 8 years old.

GNR came waaaaay after for me....

Same here, I was like 14 when I got into Prince. I've been mentioning him a lot around this forum for nearly two years without ever getting much of a response, it does seem like now there are a lot more people willing to talking about him. Sounds good to me!

There's no competition for best Prince tune against it is there?

Man, it's hard. He's got so many great tunes and they all sound so different and unlike each other that it's almost comparing apples and oranges. Raspberry Beret, Paisley Park, lots of Sign O the Times, most of Purple Rain, and random stuff from various other records over the years -- the man is a true musical genius.
