Snowmass
Marc- close your eyes......it's 1989. Crystal ball- where will Guns be in 20 years?*back in the day- what did you think would happen with Guns over the next 2 decades? And did the guys ever think about the future or was it (more likely scenario) a day by day thing?
recklessroad
I would think that they would still be together if they were still alive. When the band first got together I didn't think they would last more then 3 months but as soon as they started writing together and the songs started to pile up, I know that it was going to work. Sure they would have some fights and break ups that would last one day but the in the end the music was too good for it to really fall apart. The split they had in 1995/1996 should have only lasted about a year or 2. That was because they just needed some freedom to do the music that they wanted to do at the time. I swear, I'm not trying to cause any shit by what I'm about to ask. It really is your heartfelt posts that make me think there's still a chance for the original band. If you were to ever bring something like that up to Slash, do you think it would convince him to just talk to Axl? I don't even know if thats the kind of stuff you talk about, and I know they've all moved on. I like what they all do. But it really is to see them together again, and I figure you'd understand because on top of just being all of their friends, you're also a fan just like us. Its when you say things like that I wonder if you've ever put it to them in that way. Like ever just said "Slash, its time to end this. You'll all be happier!" I just think you have the eloquence to put it to them in a reasonable manner and also have a close bond with all of them.I understand if you don't want to answer, because maybe you have a hundred times before, but I just wonder if you've ever had that discussion where its like "seriously, you don't even have to play shows again, but you should all just try and be friends." And I wonder if you've ever told them I don't think you guys should have broken up. Maybe none of this is your place to say.
recklessroad
Slash and I don't talk about Axl when we talk. It more about how are the kids and what's been going on that kind of stuff.
