dalsh327
Most concert events are 'you had to be there for'. In the case of Metallica's show, it was more of an event than putting it up against what they would consider their personal best shows. Sometimes an event captures an amazing performance when things go well and there was a lot of planning, but few shows are ever going to be problem free. A band capturing themselves when they're road tested and not burned out are usually when you want to catch them, and maybe the last show of the tour, because they usually want to have fun with each other before going off the road. Sometimes one-offs capture something great, most of the time it's people saying "they're old but they still have it".
