bigcountry
I remember listening to Dangerous Toys back in the day and to me the lead singer has some rasp to his voice and sound similar to Axl. The songs are on the sleazy side and are IMHO similar to AFD just not quite the quality of GNR AFD. I hope you enjoy even if you don't think they sound similar, nothing like Texas kickass RNR!!!!Also at about 2:19 we have cow bell which always a good thing to have in a song!!! SweetRose
The singer in Stealheart kinda reminds me of what it would sound like if Axl and Sebastian's vocals morphed into one.Especially the main end of the song. And I love this song!If only music sounded like this now Edited September 18, 2013 by SweetRose
Crash Diet
Wow there's certain similarityThe song is cool too, but pretty typical, lol The singer in Stealheart kinda reminds me of what it would sound like if Axl and Sebastian's vocals morphed into one.Especially the main end of the song. And I love this song!If only music sounded like this now More like Sebastian, not really AxlIf we count this high pitched vocal is similar somewhat to Axl (even in portions) then we found tons of singers have similar voice in the late 80's-early 90's heavy/glam/aor bands
SweetRose
But there's parts here in there in that song where he sounds more like Sebastian but seems to kinda morph into sounding like Axl. Like at the end if the song. That last never let you go.
classicguns4life
Wow, I haven't heard of Steelheart in years! They really kicked ass. Their second album was even better than their first IMO. The problem, which never bothered me but I could see being one down the line, was they never had a specific sound. They sounded pretty generic, even though it was excellent. Its not like GNR where that was the only thing that sounded like at the time. Having said that, the guitarist in this band was great, just no Slash, and the vocalist was out of this world. Its too bad he almost died in the 90s and then when he came back he fired the rest of the band and totally changed their sound. He had a phenomenal voice that I can definitely see being like Axl's and Sebastian's. The music, on the other hand, is a bit more generic and I never thought of GNR when I heard it.
zeppelinrocksnexttognr
I've always dug Dangerous Toys. Honestly, the first time I heard them; it was their song 'Outlaw'. I said to myself, "wtf?! That sounds so much like axl. But can't be!" It threw me for a loop. But overall a great band. Not to get off topic. But their cover of Def Leppards "Let it go" and skynards "simple man" are fuckin great. bigcountry
I think the lead singer of stealheart has more of a Sab Bach sound to him, only he has a much higher ranger than Bach.To me back when Dangerous Toys came they where a very fun band to listen to, they never made it big but I really got into there music. Although I liked there music it is was almost like they had some really good song they just lacked the ability to make them great. Does than mean they sucked, no. The Real McCoy
Dangerous Toys rock.Look up their song "Demon Bell." Jason McMaster sounds EXACTLY like Axl on it.
