He's a very good actor, but that is random as fuck. Unless it's an attempt to set the record for most Republican actors in one film, in which case I can only assume it's already won (but Bo Derek needs to be someone's ex wife).

Expecting Nugent for soundtrack in 4...3...2...

All I have to ask is... why?

Because ....

a) Bruce Willis said no.

b) Nicholas Cage backed out.

c) Stallone worked with Grammer in the movie "Reach Me".

d) Grammer needs the money because he didn't read my prenup thread (adios $30M).

Willis didn't so much say no as they refused to pay him $4m for three days work after offering him $3m

Grammer kinda sucks imo, I was really hoping for Nic Cage.

I don't know why he turned it down. It's not like it's beneath him. He's on a slow route to straight-to-DVD (his latest movie with John Cusack went that direction, and I doubt the remake of Left Behind will be a blockbuster). I think part of it may be that it seems like he's suddenly realized his career was getting gimmicky and meme-ish and he's trying to do more "serious" stuff again to revitalize his respect as an actor, he's even hinted at such in interviews for Frozen Ground, but Expendables would have been a nice way of getting his name back in the cinemas.

He's never done anything for me in any movie he's been in. This is pointless.

Obviously for what it was, Frasier was a good sitcom, his limited role in Cheers was fine too. And I've heard Boss is good, and of course Sideshow Bob is classic.

But yeah, he's never really done much for me either. I don't know what it is, I generally don't take inherent disliking to people, but even when he's playing genuine and nice characters, there's something kind of off-putting about him that creeps in. I just get kind of a douchey vibe from him and find it affecting his performances much of the time.
