If Axl is the Tyson, has Slash proven to be the Holyfield?

If Axl is the Tyson, has Slash proven to be the Holyfield? Pre-New GNR, Axl was unquestionably the man, but post-Old (Real) GNR, Slash has been the man, consistently knocking out Axl in the ring of public opinion.

Axl Rose is not worthy of mention in the same sentence as Mike Tyson, it pains me to've even typed their names together, my fingers almost refused to move to the letters to compose this sentence, it was a struggle.

Slash is more like a Sugar Ray Leonard character, loved by everyone, the media darling. But I certainly am not going to equate Axl with Roberto Duran because Duran is cool, although, you could argue that Axl has had many examples of 'no mas ' over the last decade. In fact Axl has basically 'quit on his stool' and is now a tomato can.

I think GNR in their heyday, not Axl individually, are highly comparable to a prime Mike Tyson. Both, at their peak, were forces to be reckoned with that brought talents that hadn't been seen in years, if ever. If both had maintained their hold for a few more years, they could have maybe become the GOAT.

What was Axl's boxing quote?

He may look like a De La Hoya but Slash is the De La Hoya?

He may look like a De La Hoya but the truth is he's the fuckin vargas?

I think thats it. What does it mean?

Axl should cover One Night in Bangkok to come full circle.
