Zakk Wylde Definitely Interested in Playing Pantera Reunion

(TeamRock Radio) Black Label Society mainman Zakk Wylde says he'd be happy to take the place of the late Dimebag in a Pantera reunion saying it "would be a beautiful way to honor him".

The long-discussed possibility of Phil Anselmo and Vinnie Paul settling their differences in the name of their murdered bandmate took a step forward when the vocalist admitted he'd also like it to happen because it would be good for them all.

"Vinnie, Phil and Rex are the guys that make everything happen," Wylde says. "If they were all going to do it and honour Dimebag, and they said, 'Zakk, would you want to do Dime's parts?' Of course!

"I was a pallbearer for him. I laid him to rest. It would be a beautiful way to honour him, and to celebrate all things Pantera."

I think the only possibility of them getting together is going to be Vinnie wanting to take Dime's unreleased stuff and have Rex and Phil come in and finish it with him, but that's a longshot and not for another decade.

I'd go see that tour in a heartbeat if it ever happened. I only got to see Pantera once, but it was a hell of a show.

Vinnie really needs to get over this bullshit with Phil. FFS Gale was nuttier than squirrel shit, it had nothing to do with Phil. Who seriously blames Phil? Even Rita Haney has let it go.
