Do you think Axl could pull off another leaks tour like in 06?

I wonder how much publicity a fresh round of new leaks could generate for the band. And I'm not talking about shit, such as the Better remixes and Going Down.

6 figure attendance numbers in South America.
All they have to do for that is say Guns N' Roses is coming

It would generate absolutely no interest at all. Thats not a slight to GNR and new music, its just that NO ONE cares anymore. In 2006, at least it was the first stuff we were hearing since 1993. Nowadays, the general public that chose to listen to the new stuff (Chinese Democracy) has already heard what new stuff would be and unanimously said that they did not like it. You'll get an article about it in Rolling Stone, but it'll be brief and won't spark any other interest otherwise. Its just "news" so it needs to be reported on.

If it really didn't work out for CD why should it work out for CD2 or whatever?

Unfortunately Axl had basically one chance to make it back with a bang but utterly failed...CD was a bit disappointing and it just come too late. The fact that Slash has not reunited with Axl is also a big mojo killer.

No way CD2 could be a successful record as I see it...

CD is just an overal complex (good) record with some intriguing somg choices, like Scraped and Rhiad for instance and imo the lack of obvious hit singles for the 'masses'. It's just the way it is and it was a one shot chance thing that unfortunately didn't work out as intended.

Boom. Perfect answer.

wfuckinga - Chinese Democracy is not a bad album by any stretch of the imagination. But its not amazing and I'm not going to convince myself it is because its the only thing thats been released. Its just fine, and unfortunately after 14 years, a lot of people got upset when that was the case thats a completely understandable reaction to an album that was built up to be an opus masterpiece for a decade.

In 2006 there were signs of new music. Right now we have no signs of new music. There was more talk of new music in the late 90s.... right now we have nothing besides ashba saying he's wrote a ton of songs, ron saying they have nothing, and pitman acting like releasing new music would be the equivalent of dropping a nuclear bomb on alaska.

An EP with some good tunes, a few press ups and some vocal training and the guy would be back.

Maybe to three thousand a night but back all the same.

An EP would be awesome. Maybe leftovers from the CD sessions? Or an EP with some new songs...
