Do you think GNR might have stayed together a bit longer if they had had a competent manager instead of Doug Goldstein?

Not Really because I think any manager would have been in fear of getting fired. Doug did the best he could, it just sort of got out of control at some point. I think the band would have had a much better chance if they had a good counselor/therapist working with them. However in the end they still wanted different things for the band.

In my opinion though, Doug did fuck up. Slash has so much against him, probably for a reason. A good manager should try to keep them together instead of siding with just one person and additionally badmouthing the other... I understand he was afraid of being fired but then again, please think ahead. If the band stops existing what does it give you that you weren't fired?
