Its just not going to sell that much so label arent botheres and arent giving them video money. GNR now normal band, they arent making millions for the label whose priorities lie elsewhere. They are happy to work GNR as a nistalgia band. Dj maybe help but all in good time.

Like he said CD the title was kind of an ironic thing. Freedom is a different prison.

Think he went the right way with the songs on CD keeping GNR dynamics for the most part. Its what the fans will enjoy. But maybe theres another disc of less GNR stuff. That maybe label arent excited about?

I can't really imagine CD ll doing better commercially compared to Chinese. Maybe the label's concern is appropriate, but it's just like any other album nowdays.

Most albums don't really sell so maybe it's not a reflection of distrust. It's just the current reality of the market, but Axl is probably not caving in. He wants a proper release. If I had to guess, I'd say that's the main problem right now. Money.

CD is a fine wine for an audience that drinks Natty Light. They don't care about the taste, they just wanna get drunk.

its kind of a blend 90s vinos. But made the wines are different. Its kike you get Bordeaux and Merlot in 7-11 now not just Carlo Rossi. Add coke zero shaken not stirred.

It was still fermenting in 01. Had to let it age in the cellar a while longer

that's kind of the retro GNR theory that Axl alluded to once, it's meant to sound dated. That makes Axl the mastermind. He wanted to wait til the 90s influences were as classic as 70s rock on AFD/UYI. This is what GNR has always done so it's not impossible.

It could used to extend the tour. Or dipped into for one tour then start thinking about releasing it mid tour. They could tour for ten more years off CD II.

That goes without saying.

But you think Axl isn't happy with that, he wants 90s promo kind of thing. A trilogy of videos or something. The sales could be similar to CD, 3 mil world wide doesn't seem impossible especially with the CD II tag. If they say there's CD III, suddenly it's a talking point again. No promo, no videos, no contact with the label. siege mentality. The band could lay under the radar til they pop up with a record and a tour. Immortality beckons.
