Why do so many "adults" watch wrassling?

Watching sports entertainment is like watching any other tv show or a movie.

Does anybody watch a movie and complain about how fake or scripted it is?

Movies appear a lot more realistic, when there's a fight in the movies you don't see a guy pretending to be stunned by a punch that never came within less than an inch of him.

I've seen some pretty bad movies.

Rednecks need entertainment too.

Rednecks watch "wrasslin" not Sports Entertainment.

What's the difference?

Only if that "any other" movie is of semi-naked muscle men who fondle each other.

I guess this tells us a little about your movie preferences and bias.

Your loss man. it's great entertainment and fun to watch.

Gay porn lol

Haven't watched wrestling in ages. But I have to admit, when I was younger, I dug it. Saw 2 wrestling shows in person(not TV). Saw Andre the Giant in 1984. And in 1986 saw Hulk Hogan vs Rowdy Roddy Piper. It was a lot of fun.

But I grew out of it.

Same.

As a kid I was addicted.

Roddy Piper was the greatest ever.

My grandpa was addicted as well, so as a kid we went to a lot of matches, which were always in these small gyms that fit about 300 people and weren't the big stadium spectacles you have today. You could get right beside the walkway to the ring and yell at the villians or high five the favorites. Got to see Chief Wahoo McDaniels, all the Von Erich brothers, Tully Blanchard, The Briscos, the Iron Shiek, Dusty Rhoads - a lot of the old classics like those guys.

But as a 10 year old you think it is all real and you believe all the story lines.

Once you hit your teens and find out it's all fake........then it loses all of its appeal.

It is a little strange to see adults watching it. Kind of like how all little kids love eating at McDonalds. But then you get a little older.....and realize it's crap.

I have know it's scripted since I was a kid, but still chose to enjoy it. Even though it's scripted, they put their bodies through a lot. Something I'm sure the OP wouldn't be able to do in his sleep. It's a story being told live between a bad guy vs a good guy. If you don't like it, fine. To question why someone has an opinion on liking something ,that has always been the weirdest shit to me. Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean it's wrong to like it.

Even though it is fake why do so many adults behave otherwise? I get why kids like it and get excited about it but watching a grown man in tight pants rolling around on the floor with another guy is strange. Especially when it is pretend fighting.

Sacha Baron Cohen illustrated it well in his documentary

I'm sure you couldn't lay a hand on a "pretend fighter " in the streets.

I'm sure a pretend fighter couldn't lay a hand on a professional boxer in the streets.

For the most, maybe not. Some, maybe. The people making fun of wrestling, wouldn't stand a chance in hell.

Yeah, well, I don't see how me not being able to beat up John Cena makes wrestling any less laughable.
