RussTCB
Well, I didn't know that. Thanks for sharing!Did not know that, great vocals! My brother was a much bigger Skids fan than I was back in their heyday. I think he went to sing this on karaoke (because his vocal range is fuckin' awesome) like a decade ago and I was reading the lyrics. When he got done I was saying I'd never heard it before. He was in shock that I didn't know it was about Adler.
Gordon Comstock
This is probably my favorite Skid Row song, but I didn't know it was about Adler. Never made that connection...

willl
Rumor has it that "TJ" is written about Steven Adler too, dunno if that's true or not though Izzy: ""TJ" a.k.a Tijuana, is about this guy I know who kept goin' down to TJ to get clean......... but the detox is not an FDA approved treatment...... You could only get it in Mexico..... He said he would hallucinate for about 6-12 hours, sleep for about 48-72 hours and then wake up and feel pretty good, considering................and he was on the methadone program in America for almost 4 years prior to these treatments! I think he just liked the hallucination/tripping part of it because he ended up goin' back a bunch of times..... He's clean last I heard 06/07." Lyrics:-He's going to Tijuana, yeah yeahDown by Ensenada, yeah yeahGo on get better, getting betterGo on get better, yeah yeahDamn wanna pull a withdrawl, yeah yeahHallucinating into alcohol, yeah yeahIt ain't approved in America, yeah yeahThat's why he gotta go there, yeah yeahIt's gonna get better, getting betterIt's gonna get better, yeah yeahGo on get better, getting betterGo on get better, yeah yeahHe's kinda trembling going upstairs, yeah yeahTaken methodon for four years, yeah yeahDown in Tijuana, yeah yeahCleaning up the drama, yeah yeahHe's gonna get better, getting betterHe's gonna get better, yeah yeahHe's gonna get better, getting betterHe's gonna get better, yeah yeahHe's gonna get better, getting betterHe's gonna get better, yeah yeahHe's gonna get better, getting betterHe's gonna get better, yeah yeah(Note: Ensenada = city in Mexico)

RussTCB
We just busted out Slave as part of our music night last night. There were two people in the room who'd never heard any of it and they were surprised by how much they liked it. Played all of Side 1 but had to flip it and play Wasted Time as well due to this thread.
