saber_ Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 I'm honestly only here for metaforcesaber's posts. Most entertainment I can get in a day.Go away, brainsaber. The thread asks why Axl is more entertaining than Slash, and I give you direct evidence in the form of youtube videos. I'm sorry the obvious truth about Slash's collaborations bother you so much. Unfortunately for you both, it's pertinent to the thread. Enjoy the videos!
magisme Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Once again, brainsaber with his finger on the pulse of nothing whatsoever. I don't care about Slash outside of Guns. He sucks for the most part outside of Guns, just like everyone else from the classic lineup, including Axl with Nu.Your schtick is tiresome.
Crash Diet Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Why do people slow down when they see a car accident at the side of the road?
Patience 4 Axl Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 He sounds fucking awesome on Street Child.
Bobbo Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 (edited) I would say Axl's more intriguing rather than entertaining when compared to Slash. With the general lack of access, and mystique he carrys. And the controversial (and still controversial to this day) taking of Gnr as the sole member who helped establish it, and turning it into a total mind fuck of missteps and "wtf!?!" moments. The current hilarious soap opera he's turned "gnr" into is just too funny and mind boggling just to turn away from as a fan. It's attractive, just not for the reasons he intended. With the exception of Contraband, everything both of them have done without each other has been equally mediocre. Although, to me, Slash seems to put on a better live show and is currently the most precise live player he's ever been. Edited November 20, 2013 by Bobbo
Crash Diet Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 I do not follow Axl in any normal sense though when it is just a case of, enjoying his records (he does not release any so I have no choice) or enjoying the gigs. Axl you see is car crash television. Axl seems to possess a remarkable knack of shooting himself in the foot. Everything with newgnr (and I am including the 'camp' in that) is an absolute fuckin' disaster, from Team Brazil, to the (none) DVD, to the line-up changes, to the lateness, to the fanclub. Axl and newgnr seem to be the biggest fuck ups ever. If they have everything going there way. If the sun is shining. If there is nothing which can go wrong then, Newgnr will find a way to fuck it up. It is like Axl and newgnr are incapable of getting a single thing right haha. And for Axl, I just wonder, where it will end? With Slash it is more a normal thing of, enjoying the records and gigs.this Axl fans and Slash haters is even more stupid than Slash when he was high most of his life
ARBeast Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Because Slash is predictable. Axl isn't.Slash does interviews, and releases albums on about the average pace that most musicians do. Axl doesn't, and with Axl, you don't really know what's next. There's always rumors and other factors that make it interesting.
Crash Diet Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 (edited) I really really wonder if this is the type of music Slash was pitching to Axl in the mid 90s? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6YkVlI5VSU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8S1XZUZXGM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PqdOXQbzDNumm the first link contains hip-hop, which is a genre that Axl likes, wanted to be a hip-hop/industrial/nu metal artist, btw i laugh so hard when you start this way of trolling, because Axl wanted to go and be more commercial than Slash in the end of the 90's early 00's... so your trolling attempt is even more hilarious than Slash and his Superbowl disaster The scond song is cool, streets y'know, streets and streetchild: like Axl on his younger days, he even make lyrics about that time so i don't see your point besides your pathetic attempt of trolling Edited November 20, 2013 by Crash Diet
magisme Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 He sounds fucking awesome on Street Child.I don't like the song, but that solo isn't half bad.
saber_ Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Magisme and Crash Diet. I was just answering the thread's question.I'm sorry that you two seem so disgruntled by me posting videos backing up my point about who's more entertaining. Sometimes, the truth hurts. And those videos are just some of the reasons why Axl is more entertaining even though Slash tries twice as hard.
Crash Diet Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 It isn't hard to take good pics from one dude and pair then up with bad pics from the other. However it doesn't really prove much I didn't see any good pics there.agreed

saber_ Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 My lord. You are a knob.*shrug*I just answered the thread's question. Those videos prove why Axl is more entertaining: he doesn't make videos like that.
liers Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Axl is crazy, 90's he was crazy, early 2000's he was crazy, lately he's calmed down, but he still does some odd stuff.Slash is just Slash. He's a good musician, but axl is more interesting. Axl is a giant mystery. 1
magisme Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 You're not smart enough to play stupid, brainsaber.

Axl never said anything about wanting to do a hip-hop record. Industrial rock was never a huge commercial success. GnR could've made it a success, but if axl wanted to be "commercial" his best bet would've been to make another AFD like album.

niceguy Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Everyone from GNR went on to huge mediocrity. Slash, Axl, Duff, Izzy, they all release epically boring music on their own.Since the mediocrity of Axl's music is equal to Slash's mediocrity, we're left with the non-music stuff. Axl is such a freaking wreck. Hell, he destroyed his old band and formed a new band under the same name to release ChiDem, and THAT band was fired ages ago, too. It's hilarious that Axl is touring on an album with a group of people who didn't even make the album that Axl destroyed the old band for (if that makes sense). And Axl shambles around the hills of Malibu with an "elderly Puerto Rican lady," as some have mis-described Beta. That alone is worlds of entertainment. 2
