wfuckinga Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 wow, axl fans really are pathetic. ... said the guy who has created zillions of alt accounts. Kinda cowardly if you ask me. he is a Slash fan We're all Slash fans, professor. He was the lead guitarist in the glory years of our favorite band of alltime.Axl is not going to give anyone a shout out for disowning Slash simply because he did.I beg to differ
ARBeast Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Mickey Mouse releases more cartoons than Axl releases albums though.(Someone had to say that!)Thank you.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pImWbM8yii8wow, axl fans really are pathetic. ... said the guy who has created zillions of alt accounts. His mother signs the permission slip then he comes in and gives shout outs!
Miss Paradise Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Why do people slow down when they see a car accident at the side of the road? LOL! Yeah, I think people like of the whole drama thing and the fact Axl is so puzzling.
Miss Paradise Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 I follow Axl because I care about him, his songs and his voice are special to me. I like Slash too, but I don't follow his career so much.
saber_ Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 is Axl entertaining to follow? You seem to think so, else you wouldn't discuss him so much. mirite? 1
Funkadelic Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 is Axl entertaining to follow?14, 186 posts, dude.
Val22 Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 it seems that Slash will do anything to be talked about. When I saw him playing guitar at the Charlie Sheen roast, I said that's it.Even some of the comedians asked Slash what was the next thing he would play at? A barmezfa? Not sure how to spell it but it's the Jewish celebration of boys becoming men.I mean the guy seems to be everywhere.I like that Axl is not always around and cameras are in his face. Axl likes his privacy and quiet time. Most people do. I think Slash just likes to constantly be doing stuff. Does he ever spend time with his wife and kids? Also I think slash craves attention, whereas Axl doesn't always have to be in the spotlight.
Lim666 Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 the main reason following Axl:the hope he is coming over his Slash/GN'R psychosis and is opening up for releasing 1985-1996 stuff!

Ace Nova Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 I don't have the time to read through 8 pages of this thread but the answer is:In the vast majority of cases, the lead singer is usually more popular than the lead guitarist. So we can start there.

How dare he enjoy playing his guitar with multiple different people. And how dare he show up at a roast for one of his friends. What a prick.Figuer - you are right. Only on this forum would that be considered a bad thing. Some people on here also bash him for putting out music on a regular basis and for keeping in contact with his fans. As if those are bad things. You seriously can't make this stuff up. 1
saber_ Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 I think people are just desensitized to Slash because he's a media whore. Axl's elusiveness is more entertaining by default to follow.
gunnari Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 I think people are just desensitized to Slash because he's a media whore. Axl's elusiveness is more entertaining by default to follow. Slash is not a media whore LOL Atleast he cares about his fans unlike Axl who hides himself in his mansion..Why is Axl so shy?
saber_ Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 Oh Slash is a media whore alright. He's even more of a media whore than DJ, and that's saying something.
bacardimayne Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 (edited) Slash is one of the most boring celebrities out there. For someone who made a name off of being in a big dangerous rock n' roll band and not giving a fuck, his interviews and antics these days are vanilla as fuck. His music, while generally solid for what it is, is extremely predictable and you know exactly what it's going to sound like before it even comes out. In other words, there is absolutely nothing interesting about Slash as a person or as a musician. As for Axl, I don't consider him entertaining to follow at all at this point. ITG Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 Slash appears in the news at time. Great curio. Axl doesn't really get a mention except here and there. I don't think people are clamoring for info on him outside the forums.I think the Euphoria of a Brazilian crowd has warped Manets view of the world.
magisme Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 Oh Slash is a media whore alright. He's even more of a media whore than DJ, and that's saying something. lol RibfestRibfest is ridiculous, as is a bowling alley. But in what way is playing a ribfest media whoring, Miser?
D.. Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 Yeah Slash is boring. Nothing exciting. I went to see him live like.. almost three years ago, and almost fell asleep. It was so fucking boring. I don't dislike the guy, I do love what he did in Guns, and I enjoy some of his solo stuff and VR stuff, but it's nothing more than his guitar playing. His interviews are boring, he is very bland, very.. uninteresting. Don't care for him at all.I was more fascinated by Axl three years ago, but now... Rio 2011 really killed it for me, I mean even now.. watching this live is traumatizing, he looks so old... and his voice is fucked up. He doesn't look like himself, and I have trouble getting these images off my brain, I mean I can'tbe fascinated by someone who let himself go so much on every level. It's the same show over and over again, Axl doesn't take care of himself (I'm sorry but it's your duty to take care of yourself to make the show, you can't come on stage and say "yeaaaah I gained weight and I just had a tacos, but I don't give a crap!"),nothing new in the horizon, it's pretty boring to follow as well.I just come here to see if anything is gonna leak, like Going down, but other than that I don't know. The Jimmy Kimmel interview was pretty bad as well, he looks so different and weird. But I guess I want to see how it finishes or how he is going to make a comeback, this situation is still more interestingthan the Slash situation. There is something unfinished and everyone wants to know what's going to happen.
magisme Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 Where in this thread do you see Miser?Every time you post.
wfuckinga Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 Also the bowling alley was a special, one off gig for the real fans of the band, not the "fans" that only like SCOM, WTTJ and PC.Where in this thread do you see Miser?Every time you post.I am not Miser.
magisme Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 Also the bowling alley was a special, one off gig for the real fans of the band, not the "fans" that only like SCOM, WTTJ and PC.Bullshit. I was there. And they played the same crap set they always play. Except shorter cuz Axl had the shits.
