A GNR song pack might be coming to the video game Rocksmith 2014.

The first time playing Chinese Democracy in its entirety in Rock Band 2 on expert is still one of my favorite video game moments.

I would definitely buy Rock Smith 2014 if there was a GNR pack.

Rocksmith is dope. I own RS 1 and 2014 and there are a lot of good songs on there and DLC packs worth getting already.

what exactly is this rocksmith 2014?

Check out the video. Ron does a pretty good job explaining.

Looks like an even more needlessly complicated version of Guitar Hero/Rock Band. Harmonix dug its own grave when it tried to implement "r33l guit4r!!1!" into Rock Band 3. That decision basically killed the rhythm game genre.

Dude, Rock Band doesn't even compare. Guitar Hero and Rockband were a joke. You actually LEARN how to play from Rocksmith. Both games feature lessons and interactive games as well.

You can't learn how to play guitar with Rocksmith. Why? Huge latency, nothing's indicating when your fingers are badly positioned, the chord color system is a mess and a pain in the ass if you then want to keep on learning with tablatures, the adaptive difficulty throughout a song is stupid and misleading.

This game is not very good, but good for GN'R/Ron if it gives them a bit more exposure.

Wow, really? The reviews I've read of 2014 said they fixed the latency on the newest version.

They did adress the issue. It far less a problem than the first one, which was absolutely unplayable. You can finally play the new one, but the latency makes the precision needed virtually unreachable.

But the worst offender to me is really the adaptive difficulty system. That's some real supidity here.

Oh, damn.

Well, thanks for the heads up. I would say I'd just rent it to judge for myself but I don't think there's a way to try it without buying due to needing the special cord, right?
