What did you get for Christmas...

I got a purse, a necklace, and some stuff from Bath and Body Works.

I gave a scented candle, earrings, a set of scented hand lotions, a Christmas serving tray, Christmas themed coffee cups, and some dvds.

My favorite charities to give to are ASPCA and the Humane Society of the United States.

It is a bit absurd really, this christmas stuff. There is so much hype for one day that it makes me feel, sort of weak and redundant that that day will not live up to its lofty ambitions. There is almost a side of me that wishes to scrap the whole thing. Do you know what I mean? It is two months preperation, two months of panic spending, worrying, crazyness, for one fuckin day. I almost feel like syaing, fuck that day.

I made my dad happy I think and that's all that matters to me.

Quite honestly I thought his gift was the worst but that goes to show how much I know him. When I manage to give a gift that makes someone happy, well that's all that matters to me.

That's wonderful arnold. My partner's father passed away on the 23rd, so I'm spending Christmas in Kansas with her grieving family.

It has been an absolutely horrid few days, but the events have given me a lot of perspective. I don't want anything this Christmas other than mine and my family's health and for my parents to know that I love them.

Sorry to hear about that High, please don't feel the need to spend as much time as usual on here when I'm sure you've got a million other more important things on your mind. Spending time with family (especially the in-laws) can be hard enough, even when there's no grieving to be done. Your lady will appreciate you travelling all that way to be with her and her family. Take care of yourself. ;)

I got two bottles of Night Train, not even kidding

What is it with people overthinking Christmas? Buy some gifts for your family and loved ones, and make it a point to spend some time with them at the end of the year. What is so awful about that? (unless your family is shit, in which case I sympathize with you). But some people really need to pull their heads out of their sociopolitical imaginations and just live a little, christ.

Well I'm buying myself a new car for a gift in about a week, but from my family, friends, and co-workers, they all got me cologne. Like literally they all got me cologne - not all of it is cheap either. But I was wondering if they are trying to tell me something? :max:

They're definitely trying to tell you something.

I think so try a shower before you put the cologne on
