Ace Nova
Although the idea of having likes here originally met a lot of opposition....currently, it is by far, a very popular feature. I totally understand the orginal reason for limiting "likes" among forum members....to avoid cupcakes, abuse, cliqs, etc.....But just like a dog learns not to cross the electric fence....the members have learned not to abuse the privledge. Most members are used to giving 4 - 5 likes per day by now.....so in most cases, they won't do more than that anyway. But it really would be nice not to restrict us anymore. Just imagine you're having a really good day....and you are getting along with a ton of members, liking comments, etc.....then all of a sudden...one of the best comments you've seen in years gets posted....and you try to like it....but.....BOOM!Just sayin'.... bacardimayne
Now that my supporter status has run out I see how bad it is being a peasant. I agree with OP.

ColdHeartBreaker
It's by far the best new feature mygnr has tried. Limiting the amount seems a bit of a desperate attempt to get some more supporters. Why limit it? Not sure how I felt with the really popular images receiving a popular banner. You could implement a dislike option if you were to disable it, just thinking out loud here.

Black Sabbath
I'm all for the limitations seeing as how I still find the "feature" useless, but that's just me.

wfuckinga
When Bacardi and Damn_Smooth and Volcano get going, I run out of likes incredibly fast. I'd love an increase, both for us "peasants" as Bacardi so eloquently put it and for Supporters.

If you like what somebody wrote, it shouldn't matter whether or not it remains visible. Exactly.

Popular Post highvoltage
It's by far the best new feature mygnr has tried. Limiting the amount seems a bit of a desperate attempt to get some more supporters. Why limit it? Honestly dude? Excuse my frustration, but it's 5 bucks a year. 5 bucks a year towards the $330 a month that Subs pays out of his pocket in hosting costs... calling it a desperate attempt is a bit fucking unfair when we hardly push donations at all here.

saber_
I think brainsaber means If we can't see the post we liked, it's a waste. If so then what he's saying is he thinks it's important for other people to see his "like", rather than just the recipient ... which honestly doesn't make sense to me. That's kinda like giving a gift to someone, but then wanting to take it back if nobody else sees that you gave the gift. If a post is gone (hidden) and will never be seen again, then yes, I think it makes perfect logical sense that the like should go back in the repository of likes. It's not about "giving gifts" or other such nonsense. It's about recommending posts to others. If the post I recommend is gone forever, then I would like the ability to recommend another post. Not that far-fetched if you ask me. I want my likes to be live, not buried in some inaccessible vault for eternity. Actually I don't really care, so carry on. But it's a valid argument, so there.
