recklessroad
As much as I know he would like to move on, it would still have to be AFD just because it was the record that put the band on top of the world and changed his life for ever. Also the way they put together those songs, how they were living, how they got to the next gig at that time.It was those songs that helped the band get signed and watching everything come together. It was the dream band that put together those songs for all of them not just Axl.

My first guess was UYI cause I know November Rain was a song that Axl always believed in, and it fulfilled it's full potential on an artistic and commercial level and Estranged was maybe just as big for him. (he seemed very satisfied with Slash's guitar melodies as well)Coma's lyrics and just the sheer scale of it comes to mind too. Was really proud of that too. (going by an Axl interview)I guess you can't beat the impact Appetite had on Axl's life and as you say, how it came together. Snowmass
I'm guessing publicly Axl would say CD (just because of his hatred of Slash etc...), but truthfully he's probably most proud of AFD.
