gunnari
I really like the Slash guitar parts on this song..Your opinion? My personal opinion is that Mike Monroe should be the next singer for Velvet Revolver
Apollo
I just saw a video where the reporter said that Monroe is the nicest man in the music industry. He'd be cool in VR.I'd rather see the band hire some new up and coming singer that isn't already established in a current band. But if they don't go that route, and hire a veteran -Monroe would be a cool choice.

acidcock27
his voice has alot of grit which i defiantely prefer over myles's voice. Although this song is good i really think slash needs a rhythym guitarist just to structure the song .the coolest band would be slash mike izzy duff and matt!!(in my opinion )
OmarBradley
Thanks for sharing this, hadn't heard it; sounds really good. Mike Monroe released a single a few months back, I liked it a lot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XhAbtZXu2RU
Chewbacca
Now, this sounds like a rock singer. He is myles ahead of Slash's current singer.

The Real McCoy
Now, this sounds like a rock singer. He is myles ahead of Slash's current singer. No range.Michael Monroe has more attitude in his pinky than Myles Kennedy has in his entire body. Amish
Wow that 78 song has the same riff as Sleep Now in the Fire. Wonder if Rage did that on purpose?
OmarBradley
Wow that 78 song has the same riff as Sleep Now in the Fire. Wonder if Rage did that on purpose? Not the biggest Rage fan here, but I'm pretty sure Sleep Now was released well before '78. I really can't see how anyone thinks Monroe is a better singer than Kennedy (I could see the argument for many other current singers, but not Monroe), but let's not turn this into another pro-Myles vs. anti-Myles thread. Chewbacca
It's not about range here, It's the timbre that matters.

But all the attitude in the world isn't gonna help him sing if Slash wants to play By The Sword or Communication Breakdown.
Amish
Wow that 78 song has the same riff as Sleep Now in the Fire. Wonder if Rage did that on purpose?Wow I just assume it was released way back in the 80s when Michael Monroe still mattered. Had no idea it was 2011, apparently. Still, coolest Rage song and awesome riff. Not the biggest Rage fan here, but I'm pretty sure Sleep Now was released well before '78.
