I actually used to volunteer there when I was in college studying to be a psychologist. Do you live in the area?

No, I live near Long Beach. I got interested in the place when I found this guy that has been investigating there for the past 10 years.

I never felt anything weird while I was there. Maybe I'm not very sensitive to that kind of thing. I have seen and heard ghosts before, though, and taken a picture of one, but nothing there at all.

You have ? Really ?

This is my second paranormal documentary. I was a complete skeptic when I started the first one. But you can't remain one when you hear complete sentences on your digital recorder and you know no one said anything like that at the time. I've also heard loud disembodied voices there. A couple we've captured on audio. I haven't seen anything except what one investigator calls "pixie lights". When I first saw them I thought some homeless person was screwing with us with a laser pointer. But they weren't reflecting off walls, and were in the middle off the hallway. (Not 'orbs', btw.)

If ghosts exist then they're pretty shit to be fair. I mean if I were haunting somewhere I'd like to think I'd have better things to do than nudge a ball around a room every now and then.

I have no idea if these are actually "spirits of dead people." I'm an atheist, so that's not something I think of right away. There's something going on, clearly. If it manifests from us instead, I'd find that even more fascinating than ghosts.

That's what I always think. If I was a ghost, what would I do ? I certainly hope I have better things to do than nudging a ball around a room in eternity, if there is an afterlife.

Cool. Would watch high. When's the release?

Hopefully some time this summer. I'm still doing a re-edit after I screened a rough cut for some of the people involved.

The voices were pretty insane. Got any more footage you can show?

None right now. But the main investigator, Frank Beruecos, has most of his EVP online at Soundcloud. He also has some videos on Youtube, as well as 3am Paranormal. Look up Camarillo and paranormal there and you'll find them. The one below is a full sentence disembodied voice (no EVP). The voice was so clear that I told Frank I didn't hear anything. I thought it was someone with him.

Im telling you man, you don't need to be behind a camera, you need to be in front of em. The world is crying out for a Lee Marvin, Edward G Robinson, Jack Palance, Oliver Reed type quitessential brooding bad man...and you're it and furthermore, you're doing a massive disservice to arts and culture by not following through on this obvious destiny of yours. I seriously mean it too, get yourself to Hollywood and start putting in for some casting calls.

Trivia: A poe is another word for a bedpan round these parts :D

Hahaha! Probably in some circle around here, too!
