Judge the Poster Above You By His Top 3 Favorite GNR Songs

Recommended Posts

^Nice mix of quite unexpected things. just a slight aftertaste of deliberate special snowflakeyism brings the total score down a bit. I like TWAT. Yes, the song, and … 8/10.

mine:

1. November Rain

2. You Could Be Mine

3. Don't Cry

(the extended video versions, please. )

Locomotive

Catcher In The Rye (uh oh :headbang: )

Civil War

10/10

1.scrapped

2. Silkworms

3. Just another sunday

8/10. Think you spelled "Scraped" wrong (and it's one of my two least favorite tracks on CD), but bonus points for NuGNR answers and a way obscure outtake.

1. Right Next Door To Hell

2. Don't Damn Me

3. Shackler's Revenge

Anything Axl wrote

Anything Axl wrote

Anything Axl wrote

Great person :P

1 - Nightrain

2 - Yesterdays

3 - Estranged

6/10

I can't listen to Appetite for Destruction anymore, the songs carry much more energy when performed live, especially Nightrain.

I listened to Yesterdays for the first time in a year or so, the vocals let the song down, I feel Axl should have went clean on this one, or atleast less raspy.

Estranged is fucking phenomenal.

Street of Dreams

Rocket Queen (Live Era)

Used To Love Her

The guy above me has good taste! I don't know what to say? Yesterdays is a little blase', but it still rocks.

I'd really like to judge anybody who wrote "Just Another Sunday" as a favorite. I'd like to judge them w/ a jump kick to the face for liking such a piece of shit song.

Top 3

1. Rocket Queen - it's got everything you need in a song. part ballad/part bad motherfucker

2. Patience - beautiful song w/ a great ending. (and it may be "our song" for me and a girl I love)

3. Oh My God - Just a mean song that I think has the perfect amount of production. Not too raw, not super polished like CD songs. It was an awesome way to come back on the scene!

OOHH!`!! Good ones Snake Pit!!!

9/10

For me:

1. Rocket Queen

2. You could be mine

3. Double talkin jive (live)

Well played Mike... a taste for drum intros my friend? :) All solid choices!

Off the top of my head:

1) Better

2) Coma

3) Locomotive

I guess so, lol. I never really thought about it much before. I almost put Coma in at #3, but then I remembered dtj live, that's always on my shuffle. Right now it's the Chicago 92' version, but they are all good.

Welcome to the Jungle

Locomotive (Complicity)

Estranged

9/10

Welcome to the Jungle is one of the best songs to open an album, great lyrics, and a badass sound throughout. Locomotive is my favorite G N' R song and I really love it live. The ending to the song is one of the best pieces of music they've ever created. Estranged is awesome also because of the build-up from start to finish and the lyrics are also fantastic.

My three are:

Locomotive

There Was a Time

Nightrain

The end part of Locomotive could easily be one of Slash's best solos, the groove they lock into with the piano and bass and drums is perfect. But the meat of the song is kinda average...

Im not a huge fan of TWAT, it lacks groove. And Axl's vocals sound thin. Like many of the other songs on C.D they sound "overdone", there isn't a lot of "feel" to them

Nightrain is a classic, and one of my favorite GNR songs. When your hanging out with your buddies having a good time its perfect!

Mine are....

Welcome to the Jungle

You could be mine

Nightrain

An Izzy song, an Axl epic and a Slash epic. Can't really go wrong can you?

Mr Brownstone

Dust N Bones

Madagascar

7/10

Mr Brownstone has a awesome riff , in the best 15 songs of GnR, Dust N Bones is a good rock n roll song by Izzy, is a underrated track, Madagascar is a good symphony rock song, so experimental for me but great lyrics and epic scream in the begin.

For me:

Think about you

You are crazy (Appetite)

Paradise City
