Appetite is a hard rock album, Illusions are both hard rock albums, Chinese is a rock album. Each album has other influences coming through, Appetite had punk/metal, Illusions had Arena rock/blues rock and Chinese had just about all of the styles on the older records as well as industrial tinged rockers and some modern pop (mainly on the effects used and some of the drum sounds).
