Lithium
Any fans? The fourth and final season just premièred on Netflix. Cool show if you like police dramas.
Sixes
Love the show, even after the clusterfuck of the season 1 finale. Season 3 was great, one of the best seasons of tv of any show in a long time.Just started season 4....
Lithium
I just started s4 too. I'm on episode 3 now, and I noticed there are only six episodes in this season.
Lio
I am a fan, but didn't even know there was a fourth season, it isn't even on IMDB yet. Glad there is a fourth season though. Will surely pick it up once it's out on dvd. Is it as good as the third ?
magisme
Excellent show. Didn't know the new season was starting.
Sixes
finished up the 4th and final season...it was too short to be on par with last season but it was still very good...tied up the loose ends of last season while also involving a new killing/mystery
wasted
Is this the American version? I think I thought it finished but it returned.
Lithium
It's the American version of a Danish crime drama called Forbrydelsen.I just finished s4. Good ending to a good show.
Lio
I thought you meant Forbrydelsen I was getting all happy because the ending of the third season had left me all depressed.I've only seen part of the third season of The Killing, and I was surprised that I liked it so much, after seeing the Danish original series. Lithium
I haven't seen Forbrydelsen, actually. I probably should, us Scandinavians make great crime dramas.
Apollo
I love it and I hate it.I just started season three.Holder makes the entire show. HIs one-liners and sarcastic comments are the best. I love the inflection he uses in his voice when he talks. The negatives....the over-the-top rain is idiotic. Seattle gets 35 inches of rain a year - for comparison, New York gets 47 inches per year. But on the show it's raining 6 out of 7 days of the week.Smoking - according to the show, 93% of people in Seattle are smokers. Finally, all the characters are so clichéd it's not even funny. If any of you are just starting to watch it, play a little game. As soon as a new character comes on screen - hit pause and think what the "clichéd" version of this character would be........and you will be right pretty much every time. With all that said........I still watch an episode every night before bed and will watch the rest of the series over the next month. But if Holder wasn't on the show, I'm not sure I'd keep watching.
Lio
I've only watched a couple of episodes of The Killing, but the clichés or the smoking didn't bother me, didn't really notice it, I guess. I don't know what the weather is like in Seattle, but having seen Forbrydelsen, I thought they really tried to capture the atmosphere of the original. It's always raining, dark and misty in Denmark too. So I actually liked that it had that same atmosphere, but maybe it wasn't accurate, like you say.You should watch Forbrydelsen, Lithium, it's great. I don't know if the storylines are the same as The Killing though.

I've lived there. New York gets 33% more rain than Seattle does. I've lived in a city that literally gets five times more rain than Seattle - and it didn't rain as much there as it does on this show!No biggie - it's just a silly tv show. I'm not offended or anything, just pointing out that the amount of rain and smokers is extremely over-exaggerated. I'm surprised they don't have half the characters walking around in flannel shirts. It's an entertaining show. And I'm liking season three more than the first two seasons. They just go overboard on the clichés.
Christinith
I just finished the series finale. Great show. I really loved it since the very first episode. I would definitely buy it on dvd someday.
sweetchild88
Big fan of this show. Have been since the beginning. I just watched episode 1 of season 4 and it seems like it will be great. Looking forward to a mini-marathon.
RussTCB
Watched the latest season over the past week. Thought it was awesome right up until the last episode. Ending was lame IMO.
RocketQueen1985
I just finished season one. I like it a lot.I watched the Danish version when that came out, but never got all the way through it because it was boring and dragged on. I usually really love scandinavian crime shows, the Swedish ones especially.
Apollo
The second Mulder yells at Bullet that he doesn't care about her..........obviously we knew she was going to get killed. That's what I mean about hitting every cliché in the book.I did like season three a lot better than 1 or 2. A lot more gritty and dramatic.Looking forward to season four. With Netflix behind it, hopefully it's stays the course of season 3 and is more down and dirty.
rock4eva
Mulder?? You mean Holder. I finished The Killing & loved the 2 lead characters, even though I found him hard to understand at times. The voice he put on when teasing her and the serious expressions she held through the whole series defined their personalities & as for the ending? Well it's up to the viewer to decide that I guess. wasted
I pretty deep into it. Kind of a Lord of the Flie case mixed with a Few Good Men. It's nice to see some Bad Lietenent spirit in PD shows. What happened to Don Goodman?
