Some light on what's next for Axl Rose

Recommended Posts

OK, I'm not a member of the Axl Rose - Fan Club anymore, but I saw this post on Facebook... It seems they got some info with their source (you know who):

- Axl was working on the new album after the last Vegas residency.

- Next year there will be no tour, only a few concerts in festivals. Rock in Rio: Las Vegas and Rock Am Ring are being negotiated.

- They don't play OMG because it's too difficult.

I would be happy if I never saw a GN'R show for five years. This band need albums, then, albums, then, more albums - not, tours. Their discography is as small as a Chinaman's ding dong.

Just out of curiosity, how many Chinamen's ding dongs have you seen to make such a claim???? ;P

If you watch some asian porn, with the intention of watching some horny oriental girls, then unfortunately you have to put up with the occasional midget dick.

Axl working on the new album is a promising note from that. It has to be near completed. I'm guessing if it's old material then he's just looking for someone to mix it properly. (Hopefully the vocals are from 06)

The festivals sound great, if Axl builds on his latest performances in Vegas then it could be an awesome run for the band.

Looks like a good plan to me. It would be nice to get a projected date for the new album. I think it would be great to hear for the fans and good for the band to have a date that gives them time to focus on the finishing touches for the album.

RIR: Vegas seems like the most obvious show this GnR could ever play.

Saying that, I may try to attend if true.

Also I agree with alfierose, the 2006 Rock Am Ring show is one of, if not my favorite show to listen to.

I'd bet money on Maiden doing RIR Vegas too, so I'm definitely in for that one (Unless of course Maiden doesn't end up playing RIR and there's a gig conflict with them).

Ideally a new album would be the next logical step and based on Axl's most recent interview thos year it seems to be on his mind. Then again Chinese was on his mind in '99 and look how that turned out.

I think that taking a pause on the touring to work on putting new stuff out is a great idea. Everyone who has wanted to see GNR live has gotten multiple chances to do so, time to move forward. I just am not getting my hopes up for any of this to actually happen or to happen in a decent timeframe

If any of this is true, Axl should hang it up completely. If any of this is true, GNR is the saddest excuse for a band out there. If he is basically saying half a year in advance that there won't be anything until 2016 (no touring, which we all know is the only thing they can provide these days) then someone should put Axl away into a home and take the keys from him. There is no new album! Anyone thinking there is is absolutely blind, when we've heard NOTHING in terms of solid evidence other than band members claiming one is coming. Which they did with Chinese for 20 years. No new album, no new touring in the next year and a half, no old songs that could be at least somewhat of caring about the fans.

Sorry, but if this is real, are they fucking serious?
