Of all the covers Guns has done, which is the best?

Recommended Posts

Been listening to Jumpin Jack Flash in the car here lately. I really love the stripped down, rough, raw sounding vocals on there. I would really like to hear more vocals like that from Axl. He gets into that bluesy, swaggering rock sound. You can tell he is feeling it.

Nearly all GnR covers are better than their originals. Much better sound quality, mixing, instruments, vocals, everything.

GnR's Down On the Farm is a million times better than the original for example.

wow now that i think about it.. GNR was always a cover band.

Find me a band then that's been going for 30 years and do no covers

That wasnt a slack towards GNR.. just a huge number of covers ..rather they be album fillers, solo spots or concert staples. with bar band its normal and expected- but when you get to the national/international level.. its paying homage to the music that inspired you. In this statement is my disdain for the new band being more or less a cover band/parody of itself.

I like a couple of covers in a 25+ song gig but Guns actually released knockin and live n let die, one could be dropped if they're going to keep the seeker in the set. I've always liked Rosie. Way round it would be longer setlists maybe
