Pair of Slash tickets for sale (Birmingham, UK), four rows from the front....

I am selling my Slash tickets. I have 2 tickets to see him at the LG Arena in Birmingham on Monday 1st Dec. They are excellent seated tickets, row D, section 16 (the block closest to the stage).

I paid £211 for them from Viagogo, but am happy to let em go for £130 for the pair, although definitely no less.

You won't be able to get 2 row D tickets that cheap anywhere else. PM me if you're interested.

£211? someones had your pants down

You obviously don't buy many tickets from secondary ticket sites. Prices increase the closer you are to the stage. £211 is pretty cheap for two tickets four rows from the front. Unfortunately this is the only way I buy concert tickets these days. You stand next to no chance at getting decent seated tickets at face value and I refuse to go to a show unless I'm close to the stage. I'm too old and ugly to do the whole moshpit thing....

I've been going to gigs for 24 years and not once have I ever sat further than ten rows back, and not once have I paid a tout.

At those prices, no shit!

This is such nonsense.

Sites like Viagogo only exist because they know there's plenty of people incapable of buying tickets from the right place at the right time, and think Viagogo is the only option, which it really isn't.

If I want decent seats for face value I just make sure I log on at the time they go on sale. I've never, ever missed out on getting good tickets like this. And f I don't really care, I just buy from places like eBay or the likes and buy them a few days before the show actually takes place. Plenty of people will be glad to get rid of them for less than face value. Buying stuff from Viagogo really is the last thing I'll do.

I've had multiple browser tabs open from a half hour before, constantly refreshing, and still missed out on concert tickets.

You can't even buy/sell tickets on eBay anymore as they've now got an agreement with StubHub, as I found out when I tried to sell a Prince ticket because I couldn't go. I'd bought it for £77 on day of sale, sold it for £73, but GetMeIn added another £30 commission so the buyer ended up paying over £100.

These sites have the house advantage, as they have deals with big ticket companies like TicketMaster. Hell, TicketMaster owns some of them (like GetMeIn) to have a portion of tickets set aside for them before they go on general sale (you can often buy from secondary ticket sites before they go on general sale).

Really is hard for fans these days to get tickets. I managed to get a last-minute ticket for ELO at Hyde Park for face value from www.scarletmist.com , met up with the seller on the day and paid them cash in hand, wish I'd heard about this site before.
