Contraband vs Chinese Democracy

Lot of talk about guns projects going on and I hvnt been around long enough to see this poll so I made it.

I enjoyed both of them but I only listen to Chinese still. Also there's more songs off Chinese that stuck with me as favorites then contraband. Slither fall to pieces and dirty little thing are the only songs I remember honestly. For Chinese I really liked twat better catcher prostitute still to this day. I also really enjoyed maddy but it hasn't really stood the test of time like the other 4 and I don't listen it anymore.

So I like them both but Chinese stuck with me more and I liked a few more tracks on it so it gets my vote.

Chinese. Scott is the best songwriter Slash has worked with since Axl, but the collaboration just never seemed to fit to me.

I loved Scott for the album I wish it would have worked out better with him and the band. I like him better then Myles for slash by far. Nothing wrong with Myles voice but Scott was supremely more exciting.

This. Velvet Revolver did exactly what Axl tried and failed to do. A great modern sounding hard rock album. Better lyrics, production, melodies, everything.

The turd that was Contraband doesn't even come close to CD. Being the best thing that Slash has been a part of since leaving Guns only makes it the top of the dung heap, definitely nothing special.

Listen to both albums again straight through. CB curb stomps CD and is such a more consistent and cohesive record. Spectacle(which is the worst on CB) may not be better than the best of CD, but it is better than about half of CD which says a lot.

Always been a huge Axl fan, but unless you still somehow buy into Axl's imaginary fight against the world, much of the lyrics on the album are abominable. Scott outclasses him in every way on these records which is crazy since he was coming off one of his worst drug and arrest stints and Axl had all that time and money. Sucks VR never really gave themselves a chance to properly build on CB, but no one to blame but themselves...

Contraband is much more cohesive and if given the choice between cd and cb while stuck on a deserted island I'd much rather have Contraband. CD just sounds incohesive, and half the fuckin songs are just plain shit; rhiad, scraped, sorry, prostitute and Madagascar just make me cringe when I think about how legit and just so cool the band Guns n Roses used to be and I think contraband is much more in the vein of that kick ass rock that GNR brought back to rock n roll. Seriously chinese democracy can pretty much just go fuck itaelf

however if they can capable of working together....

Contraband is not that good of an album, if we go past the supergroup/nearly a GNR reunion stuff. And it's not that much better than Libertad.

The high points on ChiDem are way stronger.

Democracy by quite a bit, superb album, weird conjuration, bizarre Guns N' Roses album but it's minimum an 8/10 for me.
