Why is paranoia so rampant in America?

It depends what issue we're talking about. A hefty dose of skepticism is often a good thing. Is the stock market rigged? Yes. Do we have an lol two party system that's in the pocket of big money? Yes. Does our government seem to come up with creepier and creepier ways to monitor us every day? Yes. Does our government lie to start wars? Yes. And so on.

On the other hand, did aliens land in Roswell? No. Is there a war on Christmas? No. Do we need so many armed police and military everywhere? No. Are they spraying us with chemicals? No. Are there lizard people? No. Do they put listening devices in our cheese? No.

Depends on the issue.

Well 9/11 was an inside job, Boston Bombings was a hoax, Sandy Hook was definitely a hoax and nobody got hurt or died, Osama Bin Laden died many years ago of kidney disease not shot In Pakistan, Jeffrey Dharma was a hoax, 2 cops shot dead?? was a false flag thingy, no plane was shot down over Ukraine and if it was it was full of the dead people from the supposed missing MH370 which was hidden somewhere and the Taiwan plane that was filmed crashing over the road into the water is cgi effects and the shots in the water of the plane and people was a drill.

Don't believe me? You can find it all on youtube, plus very very heated arguments and some nasty language. :wow::bitchfight:

PS: I apparently am a shill, a govt agent, paid to comment on these hoax videos and a sheeple. :shrugs:

Have you seen the world news lately? Terrorists threatening to blow up the Mall of America. Serial Killers, muggings, police shooting people and people robbing people robbing banks and car jackings.

It's a mad house out there!

The chances you will ever experience a terrorist attack are so miniscule as to be unreal. To change the way you live your life to try and avoid something which is essentially bad luck in the same way a lightning strike, or cancer or getting hit by a bus or anything else, is a silly decision.

yours,

Someone who has actually experienced a terrorist attack.

At least you live in a city where the locals are willing to punch burning terrorists in the face.

For example:

The Chicago police department operates an off-the-books interrogation compound, rendering Americans unable to be found by family or attorneys while locked inside what lawyers say is the domestic equivalent of a CIA black site.

The facility, a nondescript warehouse on Chicago’s west side known as Homan Square, has long been the scene of secretive work by special police units. Interviews with local attorneys and one protester who spent the better part of a day shackled in Homan Square describe operations that deny access to basic constitutional rights.

That's not good, right?

But it will probably be ignored or shrugged off by those who are too preoccupied with those nefarious contrails...that's what really baffles me.

That's the big problem, I think. It's not that we're paranoid, because there's plenty of reason to be. It's that we're paranoid about the wrong shit and we make ourselves look like retards.

3 US born citizens were just arrested for belonging to ISIS. Is this enough of a reason to be paranoid in America? It scares the shit out of me.

That's 3 people out of a population of 318.9 million.

You have a 0.00000094% chance of bumping into them. Granted, a small number of psychos can cause devastation, but that's something we've lived with since the dawn of man.
