Lithium Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Yes, I would love to hear more about local politics in some little district of London that I've never set foot in. Quote
Len Cnut Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 I think the idea was that everyone put in their own local politics Lith. Wasn't it? I hope it was, unless Snakes wants to tell you all about the new disabled parking bays in Thornton Heath They're amazing, you should see the white lines, straight as a fuckin' Roman road. They've even got little drawings of wheelchairs in em man, it's fantastic! How can you drive a car if you're disabled? NEW THREAD IDEA!!!!! Quote
Lithium Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Correct me if I'm wrong, but local politics isn't interesting to anyone that doesn't live in that particular area, let alone in a different part of the world. 3 Quote
Len Cnut Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 (edited) It'd have to be a slow day for it to be interesting even if you live in the fuckin' area I can just imagine their association meetings, Snakes and one old black granny turns up. And Snakes tries to shag her afterwards Edited March 20, 2015 by Len B'stard 1 Quote
OmarBradley Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 (edited) Correct me if I'm wrong, but local politics isn't interesting to anyone that doesn't live in that particular area, let alone in a different part of the world.I read it as, "Declare your grievance with your individual local government." I think it's a sort of interesting idea, we have members from across the world from localities that are run very differently from each other. My locality, Montgomery County, is essentially a communistic government which demands tribute from the residents in the form of falsely issued parking tickets, absurd punitive fees, and convoluted methods of filing complaints with the county. I was issue two parking tickets for not having my parking pass displayed (even though it was displayed....), so I appealed the tickets. 3 months later the county sends me a letter saying I missed my court dates and the fines are doubled! Interestingly, they had never informed me of when the court dates were! I've talked to others in the area, and this has happened before.See Lithium, had Snakes not made this thread, you wouldn't have gotten this story. Now you tell me local politics "isn't interesting"!
