downzy
Netflix confirms today that they'll be producing 17 more episodes.http://www.theverge.com/2015/4/7/8364259/arrested-delopment-season-five-brian-grazerTo celebrate, I just blue myself! Though the fourth season was very hit and miss, I'm still pumped to see more of the show. They didn't really rap things up very well at the end of season 4 so I'm glad that they're coming back to finish off some story lines and start new ones. ZoSoRose
YES!!!!The "ending" of season 4 sucked, so this is awesome!Season 4 was weird, not bad, but really really weird/different. I'm still pumped, though.
downzy
The problem with season four I think had lots to do with logistics. I read somewhere that due to scheduling, they couldn't get the entire cast together very often. This is why each episode was single-character focused. The season did start to pay off as it progressed. By the end I felt it had found its footing again. Agreed about the ending, way too abrupt. Another issue with season four was the fact that Michael was no longer the anchor to the show. Bateman's character always played sane while his family swirled around him. In season 4 he kind of lost his bearings and as a result become as clueless as his other family members. I think the show needs at least one or two characters to centre the show. It doesn't work as well if all the characters lose touch of reality.

I would watch the hell out of a Buster, Tobias, J.o.b. spinoff

CheapJon
It takes about the first season to really get into it, at least it did for me but it really pays off with all the references that you get later on. Never watched season 4.
