Towelie
] Wanted to start a thread to discuss his three solo releases, Angel Down, Kicking & Screaming and Give 'Em Hell. Angel Down seems to be very popular on this board, which is unsurprising seeing as it features three songs with Axl on vocals. My favourites on his debut are the badass title track, the gorgeous By Your Side, Stuck Inside and You Bring Me Down (which sounds really Sabbath-esque to me). Kicking & Screaming was a half good album but featured way too many filler tracks. The good ones are Tunnelvision, One Good Reason (awesome riffing and soloing on this one), Dirty Power, I'm Alive, Kicking & Screaming, Dream Forever and My Own Worst Enemy. The other songs are pretty bad imo. Although they came up with some good stuff, I'm glad Nick Sterling didn't stick around after this one. Give Em Hell to me is Bach's most complete album. It has a much more metal-vibe compared to K&S and it really suits Baz. Musically, it kind of reminds me of 80s Ozzy fronted by Bach. Push Away is probably the best song he's ever recorded (either solo or with Skid Row). And there's some really cool metal riffs on songs like the standout All My Friends Are Dead and Harmony. There isn't really a bad song on this album. Edited April 16, 2015 by Towelie
Apollo
By Your Side is my favorite Bach solo song. Great ballad. Is Breaking Down a Skid Row or Bach solo song? I can't remember, but it would have been late in SR's career. Now that is a great ballad.

There was a great live performance of it on the DVD that came with the Kicking & Screaming special edition.
CheapJon
Don't like ballads. The more metal songs are pretty good, I'm still considering buying Angel Down on CD. The other two suck.

Third one I've heard snippets that sounded awful to my ears. Angel Down has songs that is good without Axl appearing on them. I guess later songs lacked Metal Mike or whoever that guitar plaer was? Silent Jay
I have Angel Down, great cover, the record is rocking.I think Duff plays ont the give em hell record? I've heard some it, didn't like it, very uninspired. I'm easily bored with Sebastian.
Towelie
^^ Yeah, Duff co-wrote a song called Harmony on Give Em Hell. Listen to Push Away from that album. One of his best tracks imo.
Silent Jay
Im listening to Push Away, heavy song. Not much of a fan, but temptation, all my friends are dead and taking back tomorrow were a lot worse.I like the new guitarist, he brings an old school metal vibe. Dan H.
Sebastian Bach came into my CVS last summer and threw a fit because he was trying to buy pseudofed but you need to have an ID in Illinois.Chatted him up for a minute, he seemed taken aback by someone my age being aware of who he was. He seemed like a nice dude though.
Getizzyback
IMO, Angel Down is the best of the 3, but Give 'Em Hell is much better than K&S, I was not too impressed with K&S.
Jakey Styley
I liked Angel Down a lot more than I'd think I would. So many songs on there I could enjoy listening to right now.
Gordon Comstock
Angel Down is a solid album, and definitely has the best vocals out of all of them. Having Axl on 3 songs doesn't hurt, either.K&S wasn't very good, liked a couple of songs but most of it was pretty boring.Give 'Em Hell was a little better than K&S, I don't remember any stellar vocal songs really like there were on Angel Down though. But, I only listened to it a couple times (I don't have the CD), one of which was on the way to see him live, and he was good at the show. RichardNixon
I liked them all, with KAS being my favorite. The new studio songs from Bring 'Em Bach Alive! were quite good too. Blows any of the post-Bach Skid Row out of the water.
Sixes
If Sebastian Bach wasn't buddies with Axl, he'd be lambasted by GNR fans as being just another hair metal pussy
chevelle
Angel Down was a pretty decent record when it came out, but my tastes have sort of evolved way past it. Great to put on for some 2007 nostalgia though.

Skid Row's first album was ok as far as hair metal goes, but that's about it. I enjoyed Angel Down at the time it was released, but that's back when I enjoyed stuff like Poison and Alice Cooper.
