Dear Fermanager, Hey, man. It's your boy magisme. We're tight enough we can have an open and adult discussion, right? Because I was thinking about the-- hold on a second-- OK, my typist is telling me

Holy shit, it's the man, the myth, the legend. I am a huge fan of your work, your insightful posts are... Obviously the most important question asked...... Why the parenthesis?! Shit man, that's a

I will look for it. Soooo long ago, surely it's here somewhere. Maybe one of you guys can come by and organize our vaults.

I'd like to know more about the artwork selection process for the pieces featured in the Red Hand booklet, saw in the credits you and Vanessa had a part in that.

I'm currently very optimistic :)

Reading between the lines a little I get the feeling that the idea is to actually announce a big bunch of shit when it's all actually properly finalised. *Big surprise!* Single on this date, album on this date, tour starts this date. If there happened to be anything as conventional as videos, interviews, band photos and tv promo performances that would be delightful.

Hey guys, sorry - just busy. There are some questions in which are way too personal. Anything I say, will eventually find its way elsewhere and not in the mood to deal with other online sources. I will catch up on the questions and posts a bit later.

Axl is not my brother, but that doesn't mean I love him any less than I do my actual brother. Axl holds a special place in mine / our lives.

Shit man, I relate with you guys; sometimes he pisses me off as well!!!!

I feel you, man. My sister ticks me off sometimes as well. I'm sure she feels the same way about me. :P

I figure this would apply to my question. Fair enough, thanks for taking the time to respond and chat with us!! #bigups

This!!! in 2-4 months if we got news like that? I'm pretty sure the whole forum would defecate (trying to keep it clean ;) ) everywhere with excitement. I am optimistic too, carefully optimistic (look at my profile pic). It's been a while since I've been optimistic regarding GnR, so hopefully things happen! (no pressure :D )

Hey Fernando,

I actually have a question about your position as manager of a major 'legacy' music act. How often do you get offers to play private events such as the wedding in France? Do you decide which events are the right fit for GNR or is the money the only thing that matters? Does the entire crew make the trip for a private event?

To be clear I am not asking these questions to call anyone a sellout, I could care less. You are in a very unique position and you are the only manager I could potentially get an answer from haha. I have so many questions your actual 'management' of the band than the band itself.

We get offers to play private events, such as Compaq, HP, Google, etc.. However, it all really depends on the look. How many people, where it is, and what it is for. We rarely entertain such offers, as they are usually not good timing. Essential crew only. If it's the entire band, usually 2 techs for the band members, a few sound guys.

The wedding we played in France was for a friend and all lined up nicely, however I felt bad for the crew that day, as we had just finished a show in spain and we were on our way to Mallorca when we had to make a last minute decision to play the wedding.

So how are you doing Fernando? Having a nice day? It's pretty nice here. About 80 degrees, sunny, not too humid. My parents bout a new house so that's nice. More of the same old same old with work for me. I have to get back to work but I'll talk to you later. Peace.

Been good man, trying to check in this and htgth before my schedule gets too kray.

Hey Fernando, Thanks so much for taking the time to come on here. It's been great and fascinating to hear your insights. I just have a question- Has Axl given any thought to writing more songs of him with just solo piano or acoustic guitar accompaniment -similar to November Rain piano demo and Patience, Don't cry type songs? He really would suit developing more soft acoustic songs as his baritone voice sounded fantastic in recent concerts in last few years. I see him a bit similar to Janis Joplin -she could belt out hard rock songs like Axl and then she could display her sensitive side in songs like Bobby Mcgee and Sunday morning coming down. I know Axl said that Janis was an influence on him last time he was on here. Maybe he could think about including/writing more these type of songs in future albums or upcoming concerts. He would blow people away on a different level. Thanks!

I'm fairly certain that Fernando is waiting with baited breath for another Mags appearance (as we all are); I'm positive the matter of being a frustrated GNR fan has been received.

We should hold any further postings by Mags hostage until we get one post from Axl, or Fernando supplies us with a current photo of Axl. Even if Axl is asleep on a couch with a bag of Cheetos at his feet.

Call my cynical, but I don't see this thread ending well.

Perhaps this is why it's best management don't communicate with fans. They can't really say anything concrete until it's time to officially announce news, but fans will inevitably read between the lines, raising their hopes yet again for new music, only to be disappointed when it amounts to just more touring.

I'd love to be proven wrong, but I don't think I will be.

Hey Fernando, thanks for taking time to answer some questions.

I'm not going to ask about new music (even though I would love to know if/when we can expect a new record).

I just wanted to ask what the Stay Of Execution copyright that Axl registered (which, apparently, has now lapsed) was about?

Thanks man \m/

Hey Fernando, thanks for coming here to hang out. I think its really healthy for both, our community and the band.

Wanted to ask you a question: How we, as fans, can help Axl and GNR move forward? We want Axl to succeed, is there a way than we can help, besides the obvious (like buying tickets to a concert)?

Cheers,

Feco

Nah, man, this was pretty cool.

I have to say I really don't understand where a lot of people, including some Mods, have been coming from with the 'I think GNR/Axl' is over' line of thinking. Aside from the gold discs, they've been putting two and two together and potentially making seven (not Seven, which I have on good authority will be on the third record XD).

There have been far more indications that he would always get another record out at some point.

Even if it does end up being years away, my concern is not if it comes out but when it does will there be a real traditional promo campaign or will it be a repeat of the CD era except with 2011 Axl as opposed to 2010 Axl.

I mentioned earlier in the thread that i'm worried some of these songs with vocals from 2002 or maybe even 1999 might not be live options. The core set might still be the same as always except with a few of the Chinese numbers, covers and deep cuts replaced with a few new songs.

But really at this point, after everything that has happened (or hasn't) in the past 20+ years, the record will be like 10 Christmases at once and anything else will be icing. And if shit does go down in 2016 I hope there aren't any leaks this time.
