rocknroll41 Posted October 9, 2015 Share Posted October 9, 2015 You know, I've been thinking...If the two of them really did talk, maybe they wanted to just wait a long time to tell the rest of the world so that they could mentally prepare themselves for the influx of questions from people demanding details.Think about it. If you and a friend had a fall out and then finally were able to patch things up 18 years later, would you want a whole bunch of mutual friends constantly asking you about that conversation and how it came about? It's a very sensitive subject. I think we need to focus less on the reunion aspects here and focus more on the friendship thing (assuming they are friends now, that is). An announcement holdup may not have anything to do with financial negotiations or Slash's divorce or anything else the press is saying. It could simply jut be that Axl and Slash are still taking baby steps to become comfortable with one another again. They were presumably at odds for roughly 18 years, so it's not unrealistic to think that maybe they'll need another year or two to just talk to eachother little by little before they're ready to go public with it.
