double talkin jive mfkr Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Hi Marcthis seems like the best version of NR out there were you around this time or deep knowledge of this versionwhat are your thoughts on it?
Popular Post recklessroad Posted December 5, 2015 Popular Post Posted December 5, 2015 (edited) Yes I was around it was done in May of 1986 at Sound City studios. The band was making a quick 2 day demo of all their songs. NR was a song that Axl already had before GNR and I have heard him fooling around with it back in 1984. It was very cool to hear both versions that the band recorded on that demo. I always thought that if nothing else that the song would end up in a movie soundtrack for a big movie even if the band never made it. What was cool about this version is I think they did it on the fly Edited December 5, 2015 by recklessroad 8
nambis Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 I remember getting this version on a bootleg cassette that I ordered from the back of Circus magazine in like 1991. Ahh, those were the days... Everything is so accessible these days that it kinda takes the excitement out of things. 1

Little EMO Annie Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 Very beautiful rendition. Thanks for sharing. Am glad that it ended up being the epic video it became!
yourcrazy Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 I had a cassette of those demos too. Listened to it all the time. They should put some of that material together in some type of box set.
Chris 55 Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 I remember having this on some vinyl bootleg. Of course, the person who did the tracklisting was a total fucktard and labeled it "Sweet Lorraine".
