Towelie Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 I'm a pretty easy going guy, but I've begun to recognise a common thread in my working life. I have actively despised every manager I've ever had and the feeling is very much mutual on their part. I don't know what it is, I just seem to object to everything they stand for, putting company policy before human beings, spouting a load of inane and insincere horseshit on a daily basis and expecting people to swallow it and not see through it. I actually managed to offend my manager today to the point where he rung me after work to tell me he didn't like how I spoke to him. He's a spineless little weasel, the kind of person who gets treated like a little bitch by his superior but keeps coming back for more, with absolutely no sense of shame or self-respect. I wouldn't sniff the crusty arsecrack of my manager like he does for any amount of money. But I'm starting to think I have an innate hatred for so-called authority figures. I have been called in for a meeting by my manager to discuss my sarcastic and unprofessional manner in the workplace. Fucking bellend. Quote

Fucking bellend.Leave it out man, its just about money, dont take no shit off no one and make sure people know where they stand with you but theres no point in being sarcy I mean, its as much of a tarty thing as being the little ho that you're calling them. I mean if they disrespect you put em right...but just taking the mickey or being sarcy in the workplace? Why bother? Theres got to be a middle ground between being sarcy and licking arse, which would be just cracking on with your job and knowing where people stand with you, taking the mick or being sarcy suggests a sort of like...childishness and it invites people to do the same back and creates a malicious playground type atmosphere, if anybody takes a liberty with you put em right, take em to one side and go 'look, nobody talks to me like that and nobodys gonna talk to me like that and anyone that does has got a problem, now do we have a problem? No, good, thank you' then go about your business, why you wanna lose your job and end up in dole queue, whats that gonna prove to anyone? You think they're gonna lose sleep over the fact that you've thrown your job away and aint earning no more, whats that prove, other than you couldnt handle the situation? Sarcasm and pisstaking in serious situations like that just suggests that you cant get your respect in the normal way and have to resort to the sort of thing a petulant child does when he dont get his way. Now im not saying act like Billy Big Bollocks and throw your weight around but just be calm and clear about your position and let it be known that Towelie aint for play, simple as that. What you gonna achieve by throwing your job away? If you dont like it just leave, whats a meltdown gonna achieve except make you look like someone who cant handle situations? Fucking bellend.Apply for new jobs, and then have the meeting. Walk in and say "I'm so pleased we've got an opportunity to discuss our workplace. I really admire you both as a boss and a person and aspire to learn more from you, and my problems must stem from jealousy as you're acheiving what I would love to." in the most dry and sarcastic way. Then tell him to grow a pair and stop brown nosing his boss as it's reaching the point you can't tell where the supervisor ends and he begins, and does he want you to tie a rope round his ankles in case he falls in. Towelie Posted December 8, 2015 Author Posted December 8, 2015 but just taking the mickey or being sarcy in the workplace? Why bother? It's my coping mechanism. I can only take so much of their bullshit before I start to crack. I try to play along, grin and bare it just for an easy life. But I can't help myself.... time and time again I get myself into hot water with my managers, mostly for speaking out and being the only one with the backbone to say to their face what all my colleagues say about them behind their back. And it's fun as well. Somebody has to be the one to call them out on it, and it just seems as if I have adopted that role in the workplace. I have a pretty good grasp of knowing how far I can push things, and stopping myself just before I go too far. I take great pride in calling them out on their horseshit in front of everyone. I just want somebody who is prepared to be real, and I find so many managers I've had over the years to be so full of it. If something is shit, come out and say it's shit, don't dance around the subject and pretend it's a rose. If they're such wankers and you're a better person (not saying you're saying that, I'm saying that) then don't let em fuckin' bother you. Well no, let em bother you if they bother you but don't...y'know, don't let them make you look a mug, there's really no need to jump up and down and point out in every instance you see a cunt that they are a cunt, think more about how things benefit you overall than like this chavvy thing of like, making a big public scene, sod that. Someone doesn't have to call them out on it mate...and even if they do why should it be you, why lose your job, burn bridges, make it so you can't get a good reference and end up on a dole queue just cuz someone else is a cunt, if he's a cunt then he's a cunt, why are YOU bothered that he's a cunt? You wanna be careful in life like that man, people can easily manipulate someone like that, who is so reactive and easily led like that to where you know you can do or say or act in certain ways that will push their buttons and make them act out, a job is you livelihood, why would you let anyone else take that from you? It's like bottling it in a way, like you can't handle a situation so you just flip...why, cuz he's a cunt? Fuck him if he's a cunt, thats his funeral, you just do you eh?Hope it goes well though man. It's actually the opposite, you then HAVE to deal with cunts whether you like it or not, you can't pass up custom in this world, if you're doing something, providing a service and your client is a bit funny you ain't gonna last long if you turn down business left right and centre cuz you don't like em, likes got nothing to do with it, it's business.
