BetterDay7 Posted December 14, 2015 Share Posted December 14, 2015 Terribly sad news about Scott Weiland's death. I don't know much about STP but I DO love some Velvet Revolver stuff. Weiland wrote 'For a Brother' about his younger brother, Michael, who died from, I believe, drug-related causes. I find the dreamy bridge really haunting and even more since SW's death was announced. Much prefer Libertad from which this song is taken, to Contraband but I seem to be in a minority on that. Perla made some derogatory remarks about VR, saying something like it wasn't Slash's best moment/work. I don't think they are amazing but I think some tracks are outstanding.
