Sorry to report that I have confirmed Lemmy @myMotorhead has passed away just now at the age of 70. RIP to a true original icon of rock.

I feel so fortunate I got to see Motörhead twice more on the Motörboat just a few months ago, some of his last gigs. Also feel very fortunate I got to meet him on the cruise also, however brief it was.

Man. That dude was a boss. As others have said, was never a huge Motörhead guy but he was a guy that was impossible not to like. It was awesome to see him come out and sing Doctor Alibi at Slash's Boston gig in 2012. Rest in peace.

In a strange way though, he died exactly how he wanted. He kept making music and touring until the very end. At the same time it seemed liked he was invincible, so this is shocking all the same. RIP Lemmy! What a legacy he left behind. A true rock icon.
