Funky.Monkey Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Bookmakers Offer 2/1 Odds On Guns N’ Roses Headlining Reading And Leeds 2016 Odds of 1/2 on the band releasing a new record in 2016 are also being offered Bookmakers William Hill are offering 2/1 odds on Guns N’ Roses headlining this year's Reading and Leeds Festivals. After much speculation, it was announced this morning that the band would reunite to play Coachella in the US this April. Following this, William Hill has begun accepting bets on the likelihood of the group playing a festival on UK soil. Currently, Reading and Leeds are listed as the frontrunners with odds of 2/1 due to Guns N’ Roses’ previous shows at the festivals. The band last headlined the festivals in 2010. Download and Glastonbury both have odds of 4/1, while T In The Park and Isle of Wight lag behind with odds of 6/1.Elsewhere, William Hill are offering odds of 1/2 on the band releasing a new album in 2016 and 3/1 on them playing a show at Wembley Stadium before the end of 2017. Though details are yet to be confirmed, it is widely believed that the performances will feature the original line-up of Axl Rose, Slash, Duff McKagan and drummer Matt Sorum. Slash buried the hatchet with frontman Axl Rose in 2015 after nearly 20 years of bad blood between the pair. When news of the Coachella set was announced, the guitarist posted a picture of the line-up to Instagram, heightening the anticipation around his rejoining the band. http://www.nme.com/news/guns-n-roses/90604

CAFC Nick Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Surely they must be talking about 2017 for some of these festivals? Download and Glastonbury already have announced all of their headliners. Also would be quite surprised in this day and age to have RHCP and GNR headliners at the same weekend at Reading and Leeds considering their demographic.
James Bond Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 I didn't know Matt was the original drummer.
