andy_rose Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 Watched the gig last night via periscope (thank you Sean Slate), and just wow! And this is via somones phone!? Rewatched just now, a little more sober, and Axl just fits in with DC. That is a fact. Amazing! 3 Quote

Your Illusion Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 Funny thing is that ACDC with Axl is better than the gnr reunion. I didn't expect that. 2 Quote

Your Illusion Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 Yes his voice sounds much better with acdc. 1 Quote

I didn't expect that. To me one is not better than the other they are both great and beyond my wildest dreams. When my husband said Axl would be singing for ACDC, I said where did you read that the onion? Not because I thought he didn't have the talent, but he is 54 and doing double duty in two bands? If there were any doubts Axl is a legend, this has WASHED all of that away. I have nothing but mad respect for all Axl has done this year. It is seriously, unbelievable and unprecedented. 7 Quote
JimMorrison4 Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 I was there. This had to be what it sounded like when you saw a GNR show in 1992. Incredible show... and one of the loudest I've ever seen!! Quote

IncitingChaos Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 i think people would say this is Axl's worse ACDC song, but he's so close to the album version here. it never was a screamer like thunderstruck or back in black, it's really just suppose to be this subtle arrogance of a tone almost like a calm warning. I think Axl channels Bon quite well here. 3 Quote

To me, this is the most he's managed to make a song his own, in the sense that to me, he's not trying to replicate Bon or Brian on this. It sounds like Axl Rose doing Highway To Hell the way he wants to do it. 2 Quote
