Tour Lithographs and show specific artwork

Recommended Posts

I have a question just out of curiosity. I was thinking and I know its probably frowned upon but has anyone printed out lithograph artwork just for themselves to have if they can't get one or just like a specific one? I know to some it might seem completely pointless, but if it turns out good, then more power to ya, right?. I find it difficult to spot the differences between a real and a fake one besides the obvious numbering. Either that or I should get my eyes checked! And if you think of asking, No. I have not purchased any lithographs from ebay or anywhere else online

We've discussed it a lot.  The available images are just too low-rez to look good printed out, so you'd need a really high quality scan of an actual poster to make a good reproduction.

Or have access to a print shop like that guy Warpig on ebay that prints fakes and fleeces people outta their money.

Wow I'm surprised. His stuff looks really legit. I hope his shirts are real, or at least look real in person because I recently bought one of his..

How stupid is that to change the poster size mid tour. Its going to be aggravating if vegas is a random size. I like uniformity and it will look stupid with my other posters. I'm thinking its going to be Las Vegas Golden Knights (NHL) related

I don't think they're changing the poster size. This is not the first time they've released non 18" x 24" lithos. New Zealand, Singapore and Bangkok were significantly smaller than 18" x 24" as well as Europe. Even Europe weren't all the same size (Vienna was slightly narrower and Paris was even smaller overall). Sao Paulo is a weird like, 19" x 26" or something and Buenos Aires is narrow.

Nashville 2016 and Nashville 2017 were both special prints made by the local Hatch Show Print guys and apparently that's 'their thing'. Tulsa is definitely a very different shape but I'm not taking it to represent the lithos yet to come. I don't mind the odd dimensions from time to time but I'm going to hazard a guess most, if not all of the upcoming US lithos will be standard in size.

Everybody - A WARNING

Some guy on Ebay from Thailand just listed Bangkok "lithos"

https://www.ebay.com/itm/142581432157

Under the description of "Original/Reproduction" he has written "Master artwork published in Thailand" which to me makes it sound like he's trying to pass it off as original.

HOWEVER THEY ARE FAKES. He has listed the size as 18" x 13" but I have both Bangkok lithos and the real lithos are MUCH larger than that. I don't want to list the exact dimensions just in case these people making fakes are reading and want to try to improve on their fakes but the real lithos are multiple inches larger than these pieces of shit.

Update: "This listing was ended by the seller because the item was lost or broken."
