Bono Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 I didn't like it to be honest. It just looked way, way over the top and is just yet again another movie where a universal power comes to earth and the heros save the day while destroying everything in sight. Just isn't my cup of tea but I hope I'm wrong. Quote
moreblack Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 Loving the Alex Ross inspired photo. It will be killer to finally see these guys all together. Quote

Dan H. Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 They're doing reshoots to adjust the tone. That's a bad sign. Quote

Batman vs. Superman (despite a few cool things) was a mess. They're commissioning movies and ideas, before writing scripts. A film based on that mentality deserves to fail. 1 Quote
rocknroll41 Posted July 29, 2017 Posted July 29, 2017 I have a feeling this movie is gonna get pushed back to spring 2018. I was always skeptical about it coming out just a year and a half after BvS, and only 6 months after Wonder Woman. With the ongoing troubled production, it just doesn't seem right to rush it out. Plus, wonder woman already did well enough both critically and financially for 2017 to be considered a "good year" for DC, and the only movie they have coming out in 2018 as of now is aquaman, which has no chance of being as financially successful as MoS, BvS, and WW all were (and how much JL will undoubtedly be). It just makes way more sense to move this one to 2018 imho. Quote

rocknroll41 Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 Casey Affleck accidentally let it slip that Ben is out. He then retracted the comment saying he was "just joking"...I'll let you make of that what you will: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/ben-affleck-not-returning-as-batman-says-brother-casey-1030107 Quote
rocknroll41 Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 Looks like Cavill might be free to shave his mustache for the reshoots after all, now that production on MI6 has been shut down for 9 weeks due to the injury tom cruise sustained yesterday: https://www.moviefone.com/2017/08/16/tom-cruise-injury-shuts-down-mission-impossible-6/ Quote
rocknroll41 Posted August 23, 2017 Posted August 23, 2017 Martin Scorsese is producing an origin film about the Joker: http://deadline.com/2017/08/the-joker-origin-movie-todd-phillips-martin-scorsese-scott-silver-batman-dc-universe-1202154053/ this will not be the Jared Leto version. Rather, it will be about a different Joker from the 1980s. Quote
rocknroll41 Posted October 8, 2017 Posted October 8, 2017 That new trailer was fucking awful imo. Quote
maynard Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 I liked it. Love Henry and the MOS theme. After rewatching all the trailers I have to say, I'm a big fan of Iron's Alfred, what a fucking badass. Quote
maynard Posted November 16, 2017 Posted November 16, 2017 Really liked the movie. I hope they make more JL movies with this cast. Quote
appetite4illusions Posted November 17, 2017 Posted November 17, 2017 Weak. Leaves you pretty apathetic. But, there is a few notes from Danny Elfman's sensational Batman score and Billy Crudup gets two very minor scenes, so, there's that to get excited about... Quote
rocknroll41 Posted November 18, 2017 Posted November 18, 2017 I just saw this movie. The first half is pretty decent, but then the second half is a fucking disaster! The good: Ezra Miller as Flash, all of the side characters (Jeremy Irons, JK Simmons, Diane Lane, Amy Adams, etc.), and introductions of all of the heroes. The bad: Henry Cavill's cgi upper lip, the cringe-worthy villain, and the terrible/ generic/ anti-climatic/ cartoonish ending. Quote
Uncle Bob Posted November 18, 2017 Posted November 18, 2017 I thought it was very good. Better than Avengers 1 and 2. For the first time, I can really see how a superhero team ACTUALLY work together. All of them were great, except Cyborg.... Terrible villian tho, but what can I say, people love avengers 1 and 2 and Ultron is an awful villian too. Quote
