ludurigan 2,420
I wonder if this "USE YOUR ILLUSION DEMO RECORDINGS" double CD presents a collection of real demos? I also wonder if most of these are the ones we are all familiar with https://www.discogs.com/Guns-N-Roses-Use-Your-Illusion-Demo-Recordings/release/9052537 Its likely that... = Dust n Bones, Garden of Eden, Dont Damn Me and Locomotive are taken from the Mates rehearsal 1989 = Bad Obsession and The Garden are likely from the "drum machine" sessions = Back off Bitch is likely one of the demos from the (pre-)appetite sessions = November Rain is likely the acoustic or the piano demo that have been circulating for decades = Aint Goin Down is likely the one version from the USE YOUR ILUSION OUTTAKES cd = Civil War (2 or 3 demos) and Get in the Ring (partially instrumental version) have also been circulating = and the last four tracks are likely taken from the lies sessions alan niven CD BUT I have never listened to any demo of = DOUBLE TALKING JIVE = BAD APPLES = DEAD HORSE = COMA = ESTRANGED = MY WORLD So, again... Has anyone ever listened to these? I am thinking these are likely versions very similar to the CD like the ones on the USE YOUR ILLUSION OUTTAKES CD BUT If these are actual demos that would be likely the coolest thing to surface from the Illusion sessions since the Niven CDs! estrangedtwat 1,284
If it's not out there, if it never turned up on youtube...it's not gonna be on some random bootleg. PS...the piano only "demo" of Estranged is fake. It's some guy playing it on youtube in like 2008.

Coma doesn't have the quotes in it, and the mix is generally more 'raw' sounding. DTJ, Bad Apples, November Rain, Coma all sound really cool from that CD.

Plus you got more Izzy: louder in the mix, alternate takes, and no Slash playing rhythm over him on Garden of Eden

I am pretty sure this is not a random bootleg, its stuff from Japanese bootleg makers and these Japanese boot labels (like aces high) have released lots of terrific stuff over the years, some of which was never available on silver disc before they released it thanks for the info on the Estranged demo! Everything sounds a bit more RAW indeed, but its pretty much what ended on the album, including axl's vocals, right? i think its the same stuff thats also available on this CD USE YOUR ILLUSION OUTTAKES so, yeah, apparently nothing new guess we gotta keep on waiting for the demos and rehearsals of those sessions to be leaked some day! 2 hours ago, Mendez said: Plus you got more Izzy: louder in the mix, alternate takes, and no Slash playing rhythm over him on Garden of Eden thats fuckin nice!
