Wind River. Don't you love it when you give a movie a chance just because you're bored and can't decide on what to watch, and it turns out pretty damned good? 2 thumbs up.

Great film. And I've had a major crush on Elizabeth Olsen ever since I watched it.

Open Range. Kind of a slow burn of a western, but between the great performances from Duvall, Costner, and Bening, and the ending showdown make it worth it. 2 thumbs up.

Shang Chi and the ten rings. Not really into these type of movies but was forced to go. Not bad, not great. 1 thumb up.

I know what you mean, I've done that quite a bit. It seems more often than not when I give a movie a chance I end up enjoying it.

It really was. And I didn't know that was the twins' sister until I watched it.

That's usually how it works for me too. It can bite you though, awhile back I watched one called Fallen. It was about old angels and demons fighting as humans. So I gave it a shot. Turned out to be a cheaply made Twilight with angels and demons in place of vampires and werewolves. I don't think I made it halfway though

I remember that one, Denzel Washington was in it. Iirc, James Gandolfini also.

Edit: I was talking about a different movie called Fallen, which was released in 1998. It actually wasn't bad.

One False Move. 1991. Bill Paxton  ,Billy Bob Thornton. Turned this on this morning 20 minutes in. Watched for about 30 minutes, didn't see the ending. How did it end? Fuck spoilers, 30 year old movie.  Let me know please.

I never want to have kids lmfao.

I've read about that and it sounds like something that would deeply disturb me.

Halloween III

One of the most underrated films of the franchise

Totally agree, Tom Atkins is awesome. And the female lead, I think her name is Stacey Nellin(from memory, too lazy to check) is also. In more ways than one.

Edit: I was close, it's Stacey Nelkin.

I still like the idea of an anthology series for Halloween.

The fourth Film (with Danielle Harris) was the last good one, imo.

I would prefer to watch a new fresh story instead of another recycled Michael Myers.

This was actually the first of the Halloween movies I saw back in the early 80's as a kid. I've always had a soft spot for it ever since. Certainly a lot better than the majority of the other Halloween sequels.

I liked this movie too. I actually read the book first, but yeah, that mask and what came out of it was so damn freaky.

I love Tom Adkins. Met him at a Frightmare convention in Texas. He was so damn funny and so great to talk to.

Yeah, a good thing the new Halloween movies have gotten so much better. I can't wait for Halloween Kills. This is going to be one of the best of the Halloween series. And bringing back so many characters from the original Halloween is pretty cool.

Once Upon a Time...in Hollywood

1/5

After Hateful Eight and now this I think Tarantino has lost it. Feels like he's just going through the Tarantino motions, trying to be edgy. Weak. Pretentious. Portrayal of Bruce Lee was dumb af. Has nothing in particular going for it other than the lazy cheap 'what if?' gimmick of the end.

Goes out of his way to honour Polanski, a piece of shit, but that's not surprising considering this:
