James Bond Posted August 3, 2017 Posted August 3, 2017 Infinitely more excited for this than Art Of Anarchy. 2 Quote

ToonGuns Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 Only downside of this is we're further away from that Buckethead:Bumblefoot collaboration! Quote
ZoSoRose Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 I thought the new song was awesome. Rons playing is great on it Quote

Georgy Zhukov Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 I've just discovered this. Bumblefoot, Portney and Sheehan is enough to get me interested. Is the album out yet? They touring? Quote

It's primarily Portony's band. Still great hooks. It sounds like, sometimes, Rainbow and Deep Purple since Derek Sherinian is using the same gear as Jon Lord. Not a fan of the vocalist though, but Bumblefoot is a monster. Guitar wise it's incredible. Quote

oldnews Posted October 7, 2017 Posted October 7, 2017 sounds awesome also stop comparing to Art of Anarchy AoA didn't die with Weiland it died when Stapp joined Quote
moreblack Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 (edited) AoA was not prog metal was it? And even if it were, it didn't have Portnoy, therefore infintely inferior. Edited October 10, 2017 by moreblack Quote
Silent Jay Posted October 31, 2017 Author Posted October 31, 2017 (edited) Ron is talking about Sons of Apollo here, even plays the wild Signs Of The Time guitar solo. Edited October 31, 2017 by Silent Jay 1 Quote
The Glow Inc. Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 Not fond of the singing on the album but Ron's playing on SOA is ridiculously good and you can tell he actually took the time to write solos that complement the songs and what the other players are playing. He restrained himself a bit, didn't go full BBF mode, and it really does wonders for the band which actually sounds like a band rather than BBF playing with other guys. After following his career for the last fifteen years, it's actually refreshing to hear him play in a band and actually sound like he's part of said band. Quote
RussTCB Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 Picked this up on vinyl the other day. Haven't had a chance to spin it yet but I've heard the pressing is great. Quote
Zeppelin Posted November 14, 2017 Posted November 14, 2017 Even as a prog metal fan, this is some of the cheesiest stuff I've ever heard. At least they seem to be enjoying themselves. Quote
